So I played this ball today and it’s now in the bag! Also I use a 2024 phantom 5 putter which is blade like for a mallet and it felt great. Provided a click and didn’t feel dead. Just thought I would share that. Also I would describe this ball as like an ion off the tee box and a urethane around the green. Thanks for your reviews!
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback and your support. I'm glad you shared a similar experience
Swing speed (on screen) would really help to contextualize the numbers. Thanks for these reviews.
I can do that
@@GolfBallAddict Thanks!
I love that you take so much time to review each ball. I'm a loyal Vice player, and I've been interested in trying the Pro Air. Their site says it still works for higher swing speed players, but I just compress the Pro Soft (and the former Pro Zero) too much. Thanks for these reviews! Off to check out your review of the Tour Ball!
Thank you very much for the kind words and for watching. Just reviewed the Pro as well
Its like the AVX👍
Hi, Nick. Thanks as always for another thoughtful, thorough review. This is a ball I really like and it looks like Vice is doing a tremendous job with its updates!
One note: I don't think I saw a mention of forgiveness on this review or the review of the new Drive ball. I know you've said your swing is improving (congrats on that!), but I hope you'll continue to give feedback on forgiveness, as you have in the past. Forgiveness is a major factor in my search for golf balls I like and your channel has been incredibly helpful for that. Your assessment of forgiveness helped me discover the Cut Red, Wilson Zip, regular Q-Star and the ERC. And in the past, you've also helped me steer clear of a few balls like the TruFeel since my swing is still kind of a mess and your review spoke about the TruFeel being a punisher on mis-hits.
I really like the older Vice Pro Soft and Drive models, and I'm glad those balls are improving, but I'd also like to know how the new balls compare to the older models for forgiveness.
Thanks again for all you do!
Thank you very much for the kind words and the comment. Forgiveness has been touched on in the new video
Can't wait to find these new vice balls at Walmart. Great video as always.
Please let me know how you end up liking them! 😀
Looks like you found your new gamer ball! I'm pretty sure I have but will wait for the new Snell reviews :)
That's honestly what I'm really interested in. Seeing the snell reviews on how they directly compare to these vice lines.
This is going to be my gamer. I already use the vice pro soft. 🙌
It's an amazing upgrade
I’m waiting hard for the next installment in the vice series!!!
It just came out my friend. Give it a watch and tell me what you think 😃
Suggestion: forgiveness rating, 1-5? Good ball! Thanks
That's a great point. Thanks. 😀👍
@@GolfBallAddict it just came to me out of the blue!
I was checking out their website and in the customization section you can add three different alignment tools. One is like the triple track, but only for a quarter of the ball. One looks like the Taylormade Distance plus, and the third is three arrowheads. It's costs a little more, but it could be worth it if this line is your gamer maybe.
Well if that's the case I'll have to eat crow.
Not really though since you have to pay extra for it. You're still on point for value!
Will this work for a swing speed above 105mph that’s a high handicapper?
what makes no sense, it says its for slower swing speed...but then the optimizer on their website recommends it for higher speeds??
Honestly I've had a lot of trouble with those golf ball fitter tools I see online. Titleist has always given me trouble and it doesn't surprise me vice is iffy
Sounds like a good ball. Have you done a review on the new snell balls? Also in your opinion what is the best spiniest ball for the short game?
I've done the old snell balls. The new ones will be done as soon as I get through vice.
The balls that have the most spin around the green for chipping and pitching tend to be the tp5, the Bridgestone xs, and honestly even the brand new vice Pro I just tested. I don't recommend the tp5 usually just because it's so unforgiving.
Will give this a try and compare to Precept extreme. Cool hat- what's the brand? thnks
Awesome. Thank you so much. I'm not sure about the brand, all I know is it's a valspar championship hat I got at the tournament
Sorry if you said it in the video, but do you know the compression on this?
Should be around 95
@@GolfBallAddict 95? Did you mean 75? 95 would be in the range of alot of X balls out there.
Can you check the if the paint rubs off on the lime colored golf ball?
I can try. I know this has been a problem in the past
@@GolfBallAddict Thanks, keep up the good work!
Can you do the Q Star Tour with the new equipment to see how this stacks up to it?
Absolutely.
Nick,
Love your channel but it is getting really confusing. First of all the Chrome tour did not replace the Chrome soft. There is still a new 2024 Chrome soft golf ball. You have to test it to see how it compares to the Chrome tour.
You also can't really compare the current reviews to last years since you are using a new launch monitor. The Vice tour numbers were sick. I am a senior with a slow swing speed. Do you still think the tour or the soft would be a better ball for me?
Thank you for the comment. The Chrome tour as of this moment has not replaced the Chrome soft. However I have heard from the Callaway rep that the future plan is for the tour to ultimately replace it. I don't mind still testing the 24 version though
As for the monitor switch. I tested multiple golf balls side by side with both monitors. The ball speed was within 99 percent accuracy on both. So some of the previous data is definitely still viable.
The vice air will definitely work better for sure. It's allot more soft and forgiving
Nick,
Thanks for the followup. Are you going to review the three new snell.balls?
Does Walmart carry the Pro Air or are they just available online currently
I don't believe Walmart has the new models yet
I've been playing the Pro Plus for 2 years. This ball may be better for me because my driver swing speed is 90MPH. I have a box coming and very curious.
The air or the pro will most likely be better optimized for your swing speed. Either should work great. It's your call with the feel though.
@@GolfBallAddict Your numbers comparing the Plus and Air are really close. The only reason there is a driver difference is that your ball speed on the Plus is 7mpf faster. Could you have just been swinging better testing the Plus? If your swing speed was close on both balls and you got 7mph more ball speed from the Plus, it is a no brainer for me. I want the extra 15 yards. If club head speed is identical, can there be a difference in ball speed? Sorry for all the questions and I really like the Air but 15 yards is 15 yards since the spins on the irons and short game are close.
Again,Vice live up to their word and improve an already great golf ball.
Men of their word!
Vice sucks
I respect your opinion, but the data, performance, price, designs, and reviews disagree
Love your channel. Big fan. Recommend your content to family and friends. I think I'm that one person that just doesn't jive with vice. I've tried them all. I hit one shot then goes back in the bag. They decorate my golf ball cases. Love the look and colors. Lol
