Claymation spec evo, a niche genre wrapped around another niche genre that becomes something hardly anyone can have time to hope for yet here it is. Wonderful to see more creations within the community thank you! edit: I'm sorry to say that I wasn't recommended the last spec evo vid you did or your channel in general, I'm glad TH-cam did this time though and hope it's a sign of things to come for you!
I never watched the original claymation video because the thumbnail was 2D, so I thought the video was going to be an animation. Just shows that claymation is more unique. Also, if the creator of the video is here, mind telling me what clay it is? I do stop motion too. And can I make a video like this?
As someone from the central part of Brazil, I deeply appreciate you using the cerrado as the background, specially since it's an lesser known enviroment and a endangered biome.
I love this it’s like a fusion of the future is wild with walking with beasts with animals of modern day, evolving into animals that resemble prehistoric creatures from the ice age.
This is some great spec evo content tbh and I hope you continue with it, it's such an unique and lovely concept to have claymation with fictional creatures. But I have to say 2 minor nitpicks that would probably be good to note: Naming the current day ancestor while showing the name/scientific name of the species can help people who aren't well aware of those animals to begin with and can spread awareness. The other one is more basic, just that the name of a species should never be capitalized, only the genus. For example, Canis Lupus is not a thing, but Canis lupus is.
ya like for me, when I saw the porcugonia, I remembered kinda, what It was related to, but forget it specifically my best geuss Is mabe a Mexican porcupine and or some other new world porcupine but idk still
I would also mabe say niche partitioning and having some animals go extinct in that time, or mabe having big differences, but the 1st one kinda goes to shit in south america, and still great
It's nice to see the concept of ancient species basically re-evolveing in the future. Saber tooth tigers, terror birds, giant ground sloths. It's always been a very niche topic
I would like to see more of these videos that you make with stop motion of the creatures that may possibly appear in the future on the different continents in each ecosystem, how they coexist and survive.
This is so freaking cool. I love the neo terrorbirds. The nod to previous prehistoric adaptions which we could see resurface. 10/10 content. Subscribing immediately. Also the animal design is top tier.
This took me back to the Walking With Beasts episode "sabertooth" and how excited little kid me was to see each South American animal while watching the episode
my favorite has got to be the Savannah Panther while it looks like a sabre tooth cat, I notice one key difference. The sabre cats have very long fangs that makes it too cumbersome to be used for biting anywhere, they are said to believe that their teeth are brittle. However, the Savannah Panther has just the right length for their canines to deliver a devastating bite. The fact that it easily rip the Grazibaras leg just shows how powerful its canines and jaws.
Goodness gracious... the stop motion in this video is pristine, pat yourself on the back, this has got to be one of the most remarkable TH-cam videos I have ever seen! As a fan of speculative evolution, this is really interesting, I love how it looks like some mammals have filled some left over niches and become mega fauna over time, with most appearing to resemble those similar during the ice age, due to convergent evolution, the ecosystem seems quite plausible! I love how it's hinted at the modern Tapir's descendants being the Tapiraphants. Great sound effects corresponding to creature movements and actions, decent ambience, props, and background, could not forget to mention the remarkable animal models. This is just so freaking amazing, this video deserves so much more attention, it's truly a work of art, every fan of speculative evolution should check it out. You are truly an artist, this is art at its finest, combined with the beauty and elegance of the power of evolution in the hypothetical future.
