Last week I went to see a little car i wanted to buy i talked with the seller wich buy the way was going to the army and made a deal that he was gonna give me a couple hours to come back with the money, after couple minutes he texted me he had another guy offering hundred dollars more and that if i wanted the car i would have to out bid him so i was like let me think about after a little while another text someone offered him two hundred dollars more so making it three hundred over the original price, i ignored him by the end of the day another text saying that he could wait for me until the next day, i told him to fuck off imagine a guy like that in the army...... A man that doesn't honor his word you already know the rest....

My 2000 WS6 trans am was stolen out of my drive way, found it 3 times and reported it to the police. Nothing was done to investigate other than tell me the plates were off another stolen vehicle. Was once seen by my boss in a bank drive thru, police didn't bother checking the video and bank transaction to see who was in the car.
@@fedism when my motorcycle was stolen the first thing the police asked me was if I sold it for drugs. I was in disbelief. First being robbed of my most prized possession, I was 19, and then being called a stupid junkie when the police came. I could tell they didn't give two fucks about me or my bike. Also had my house burglarized a few years later as I work over night and when I came home in the morning it took them 4-5 hours to show up. I had 2 fire arms stolen and window smashed in my house and I got the vibe they were thinking I was a junkie again. They always seem to add insult to injury. I respect law enforcement and I know there job is hard but they made me feel even worse on the worse days.
I have an idea for a new segment. People can send in their personal stories and Ed can read them. It will give you guys some more content. Call it something like VINwiki Viewer Stories or VVS for short.
So they recovered the car and prosecuted the guy over drugs and guns but they did nothing. Are you feeling a little light headed? Oh and it's not up to the cops to prosecute...it's up to the prosecutor handling the case...
In the video he explains that most of these "stolen" cars are fraudulently reported stolen in order to claim an insurance check. Then the owners will hide the vehicles or sell them off super cheap to someone.
To be in honest in a case like this, the person who had the car would have acutally been better of with a real vin, it wouldnt have been spotted and in turn likely would never have been found out. The insurance company is the only "victim" here really.
I tried to buy the SL again last week. No luck. They want $120k for it. I would love to have it because it is the perfect testimony to what VINwiki can do but not for that kind of money.
The owner of the capital company was clearly the guy who committed the original fraud. It wasn’t stolen. He sold it and when you called he pretended to be happy to throw you off. But he never got it back and never spoke to you again. Probably blocked your number too. Quite obvious
They didn't change the vin plates, they just made a new one that sticks overtop and they use a knife or spudger with a bit of glue or gum or whatever on it to place it in there and then they pull the knife/spudger back out. If they had the technical know-how to actually remove the window and remove the old vin and put a new one on then they wouldn't have put cheap-ass tires on it and they would have been intelligent enough to throw away the owner's manual.

Honestly If you wanted it that bad you could have probably have bought a high end camera, and still cover the instillation at that price,and saved money but at the dealer your basically paying for the convenience.

My 2000 WS6 trans am was stolen out of my drive way, found it 3 times and reported it to the police. Nothing was done to investigate other than tell me the plates were off another stolen vehicle. Was once seen by my boss in a bank drive thru, police didn't bother checking the video and bank transaction to see who was in the car.

@@fedism when my motorcycle was stolen the first thing the police asked me was if I sold it for drugs. I was in disbelief. First being robbed of my most prized possession, I was 19, and then being called a stupid junkie when the police came. I could tell they didn't give two fucks about me or my bike. Also had my house burglarized a few years later as I work over night and when I came home in the morning it took them 4-5 hours to show up. I had 2 fire arms stolen and window smashed in my house and I got the vibe they were thinking I was a junkie again. They always seem to add insult to injury. I respect law enforcement and I know there job is hard but they made me feel even worse on the worse days.

In the video he explains that most of these "stolen" cars are fraudulently reported stolen in order to claim an insurance check. Then the owners will hide the vehicles or sell them off super cheap to someone.
To be in honest in a case like this, the person who had the car would have acutally been better of with a real vin, it wouldnt have been spotted and in turn likely would never have been found out. The insurance company is the only "victim" here really.

The owner of the capital company was clearly the guy who committed the original fraud. It wasn’t stolen. He sold it and when you called he pretended to be happy to throw you off. But he never got it back and never spoke to you again. Probably blocked your number too. Quite obvious

They didn't change the vin plates, they just made a new one that sticks overtop and they use a knife or spudger with a bit of glue or gum or whatever on it to place it in there and then they pull the knife/spudger back out. If they had the technical know-how to actually remove the window and remove the old vin and put a new one on then they wouldn't have put cheap-ass tires on it and they would have been intelligent enough to throw away the owner's manual.
I feel like this guy could convince me to sell a house for a dollar a swear.
