For me personally, the Tourbillion is the first car release this decade, which convinced me 100%.
It’s stunningly beautiful, with the perfect mix of design and Technical Details (like the defuser). No cost cutting, no screens.
Seems like THE investment into the future!
Awesome job from Bugatti
There are screens just pop out, like bentley. And thr centre pods are little pixel displays but they all look timeless in design
me too. I love that it's so robust too, with the EV only mode, hybrid mode and ICE only mode. along with all these components being the best money can buy.
On an opposing argument, I think the design is half baked. Sticking with the old Bugatti styling cues makes the front look like it's just pulled out of proportion. The rear is quite nice, though.
Big respect to Matte Rimac for his vision! We can see that the guy is super smart, visionary, understands the cars and his customers, and that his ego is humble. He will have a great future.
And no Fullelectric Bugatti!😎👌

T-shirt, please 😁
Finally, the analysis we've all been waiting for
I would still like to see Bugatti, Pagani and Koenigsegg in WEC. I know its a big undertaking but it would still be interesting to see what ideas these ultra luxury/exclusive hypercar manufacturers bring to the table.
I don't think they would bring much in terms of performance and innovation, their cars are fast and all but I think they are more like pieces of art than performance vehicles like a Porsche or Mclaren is.
@@lichh64 thats true for pagani, but maybe not for bugatti, and defintiely not for koenigsegg. Each koenigsegg road car has a ton of innovations, with lots of patents. But Chris has already mentioned that he has no interest in entering Koenigsegg under LMH as the regulations have very little in common with their road cars.
Doubt they have the funds for it
There is little sense for these cars to be modified for Hypercar. They all have more than twice the power, need to go on a serious diet and aerodynamics are either overdone (like the Valkyrie) or almost nonexistent.
It would be something if they could simply slap some slicks on them and call it a day, but they can't.
@@RCmaniac667 i do think they have funds (lmh/lmdh doesnt require that much funds anyways). Koenigsegg wanted to enter GT1 in the past as well. Only reason they arent entering LMH is because their cars have very little in common with the regulations.
I like your videos because you talk about the history and the behind the scenes of everything
The p1 comparison was great
So you didn't see Noire
@@danijelhrup9715 ofc but the p1 came before and how the rear slopes it looks more like a p1 cause of the curvature
@@zontetaji506but is it a bad thing to look from the kinda similar to P1?
@@VEGA-Riperave no there’s nothing new under the sun
@@zontetaji506 i mean it's kind of evolution. I.e The Zonda and Utopia also are like an evolution
Good analysis.
This is the perfect motor car for those with a Bond villain mindset wishing to drive a coach and horses through emissions regulations.
The Taillights are inspired by the La Voiture Noire
P1 was before that, you do know that, riiiiight?
@@Retheraqconnected slim taillights is a car design trend that'll be in alot of future cars, so I guess this could be a style
Really like Mate Rimac now, very nice guy, respects the Bugatti brand.
Best of all now, Bugatti has an SICK sounding engine, their W16 Quad IN MY OPINION, did not sound good at all. It was a mean sounding engine sure but didnt make a pleasing sound. Now this Cosworth V16, oh baby me likey
The W16 is arguably the best engine to contrast against an Italian V12. Chiron does sound a lot like an american V8, but with twice as much of it I still love the sound.
It's interesting that the V16, at least listening to the samples provided, doesn't give the same kind of note as the Cosworth V12 for AM/GMA, but those cars can give a very different sound depending on where you are relative to the engine so we'll have to wait and see what a Tourbillon on the road really sounds like.
Absolutely! The W16 allways sounded like a boat or ship engine...😜
This n/a V16 sounds much better and more like a unique racing engine! Another Cosworth Masterpiece!🙌🤝👌
@@budthecyborg4575The sounds are different because of different Displacement, RPM numbers and Firing order!😉
I mean W16 was Quad turbo so the sound was silenced
@@VEGA-Riperave Quad turbos also became a highlight to the sound of Chiron.
4:06 Comparing Tourbillon v Revuelto really paints Bugatti (Rimac) in a good light. These figures are VERY encouraging.
What I find the most interesting is that Mate mentioned calling cosworth about this V16 even before he bought Bugatti. He really wanted to push the Rimac brand into that space of the ultra hypercars. The other thing I liked hearing is how much respects the other brands and what they are doing as well. Somebody who can acknowledge others like that is a great sign that this car won’t stay stagnant but it also won’t try to be something it’s not out of jealousy
Thank God for Rimac for saving the Bugatti Brand
I'm glad I found this channel, you give information no other TH-cam channel can provide
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Mate rimac sayed no to simplicity, he embraced bugatti's heritage while doing something totaly new for the industry
It’s soo good to see car enthusiast on CEO chair.
On video car reaches 440 km/h while speedometer is scaled up to 550 so a lot of special versions are coming I guess.
99% of the customers will never go faster than 300km/h
That's because 99% of the customers drive in cities, don't travel long distances on highways (they have their own private jets), are too busy with whatever they do for a living, *and don't have a death wish*
doesnt matter, car go _faster please_@@McLarenMercedes
Seems like a very nice piece of engineering! I like it!
THANK YOU BSPORT
great video, thank you !!!
Great analysis as always.
Love Bugatti
awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
I woul be happy with a copy of the service manual. That dashboard and the crystal glass console would keep me amused for weeks! Cool video, thank you. When I saw the press release, I was excited to think what Buchan has to say.
Great analysis. Bugatti really one upped themselves
Everytime I see the Tourbillon, the first thing came to mind is that's an AI generated image or someone's interpretation of a Bugatti next hypercar. But from the technical pov, it is indeed impressive.
Bugatti , Koenigsegg , Pagani best trio🍷🗿
Naturally aspirated, no visible screens, no plastic in the cabin: I like that
good explanation, i think i'll take 3
I still prefer the overall design of the Chiron, cleaner and less fussy.
awesome video , youtube should definetly pay you For That. are you a kind of engineering teacher in a
school ? I think people will like such a Teacher.
At first I though that the rear lights were too similar to the McLaren (specially the P1), and was the only think that didn't like. But then noticed that, albeit from the pñoint of view of engineering the Tourbillon is entirely different from the Chiron, from the exterior design the main reference is the Chiron La Voiture Noire: has the same "C", very similar same tail lights and frontal and lateral intakes and a very similar oversizer central horseshoe.
I wouldn't really be too concerned with them not making enough money on the car. If they can sell 250 of these cars instantly, they can surely sell more in 2028-29 when the production run of this first version will have finished. There is already a lot of precedence for additional versions, so this isn't anything that the customers wouldn't expect.
The engine and the gearbox are usually among the most expensive components to develop and they could even put them into more cars apart from the Tourbillon and its versions. If they really wanted or needed to, that is. If they made 250 "base" Tourbillons, and then 250 special versions, that would have probably already covered most of the investment. But, if they then did another 500 units of a front engined GT car or something, even if it was a bit cheaper, that would likely make the whole venture quite profitable.
3.8 Mil is just a "base" price + options...😉
NA engine and no STUPID screens at last! I hope "lesser" manufacturers follow the idea and stop cost cutting with boosted engines and those cheap screens. This is a real piece of art.
Everyone else but you missed the similarities of the concept with Revuelto.
I consider thos car a triumph of design and concept, but Revuelto should not be overlooked. It costs almost 10x less after all
It is not Mate's idea on what the direction of Bugatti is now. He is just the broadcaster of what VW is deciding. Take a lot at Mate's statements over the last 10, or even 5 years, you will surely figure out that money dictates the direction Rimac is taking and what Mate js saying. Good luck to all parties involved and hopefully Rimac will focus on cutting edge solutions closer to what the Nevera had.
The McLaren comparison is interesting, though I’m seeing more Gordon Murray influence in the overall concept.
The 200 kg figure for the battery is rounded up. There's a video where Mate Rimac says it's really 180 kg.
We love you ❤️
Any update on the 963 and the crankshaft issues?
Mate Rimac is a real genius, in the same league as Christian von Koenigsegg.
Higher tbh
I really like the design and technology. As far as I understood in one of the Videos with Mate is, that they will produce also a convertible and other special Versions which are not included in the 250 Units announced. So I guess it will end up at 450 to 500 Units again.
I appreciate the cluster, from a horology POV. Only slight criticism is that I think sapphire would look better than the "ruby" jewels they used in their show cars. I know they are the same material, I'm only talking about the colour, and I think the jewels being blue would fit the car better. But I do understand why they went with the colour they did - anyone who has seen an OK watch or better has seen jewels that look exactly like that.
Unrelated and a bit tangential to the channel - would you consider making a video on the emission scandals currently ongoing (e.g. with toyota) and comparing with the Volkswagen AG one? I understand it isn't what you usually cover (engineering, design, performance), but would be cool to hear from an auto industry insider POV
I like the doors
I hope they make a lego set!
I want the Tourbillon Super Sport to rev up to 11,000 RPM.
Or 10.000 at least...👍
Or 10.000 at least...👍

Money is only an issue for those that didn’t create money
Bugatti clearly has some type of ties to a lot of money
So that is not the issue
What a bizarre statement.
Cosworth now in tourbillon n soon be in RB17.
Is it really a good engine??
There is a very pertinent question I want to know B Sport. Do YOU like what it looks like?
Do you?
It doesn't matter in this case. Any geek is going to go crazy over the tech and specs of it and the amazing interior( probably the best we've seen in decades)
@@RCmaniac667 I do. I think it's a great evolution over the chiron and the interior is just phenomenal
@@dhanu_4539 it does matter. I am a geek too and I love this thing inside and out. I was just wanting to hear about what B thought of the looks
@@thomashayhurst6547 fair enough. All I can say is my opinion. I think the looks are very mediocre for such a special car.
I know I am nitpicky but Rimac is not pronounced Reemack, it is a c at the end
Reemacee?? Reemass??
rimac wird rimatz ausgesprochen 😉
I don't know if that is a Bugatti
but definitely it isn't a Volkswagen.
please, made a clip about lucid sapphire, I heard it's has a very advanced architecture. thanks
Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti
Thank you for this informative Tourbillon insight.
The outgoing Bugatti looked better, I would say.
Your previous "article", on the Auto Union P52, lost Supercar!
Tears on my pillows...
This is what should have become a Supercar for the VW group! (Not a Bugatti)
👋🏻
P1's rear still looks sweeter!
Usually I agree that supercar/hypercar should has a screaming engine. But, a Bugatti was (and still imo) should be an exception. I think Veyron and Chiron W16 delivers a unique experiences and emotions even without screaming exhaust sound, and that should be kept in Bugatti DNA. The new hybrid V16 will be significantly more efficient but I don't really think it suits Bugatti heritage. The design, both exterior and interior is amazing though. I love the new steering design. I am more of a Koenigsegg fan, but I prefer Tourbillon steering than Jesko steering.
this will be sold out, there are too many rich people, you'll see
I‘m not concerned about it not selling well. I‘m concerned that they won’t earn enough to cover their costs. I guess Rimac cannot compensate losses like the VW Group could.
@@BSport320 as you said, with many bespoke editions, they will
All 250 Models were already sold out before the release.
I’m sure they’ll come up with new versions very soon. Something like a spyder etc.
Few development costs and basically the same car, for even more money

great info, but... steering wheel looks like citroen.
And? Citroen used to be a pioneer before Peugeot. This is the first time the history of automobile such wheels is implemented in supercar/hypercar.
