    Excellent analysis as always! You pretty much hit the nail with every point you made. Adding shooting is literally the only improvement the Rockets need to make from a roster construction standpoint to take that next step towards being a playoff team. It is also worth noting that just having a healthy roster this next season would be huge for us! This team is building something special! #Rockets

    You were spot on in your assessment… however IMO i like Dalton over Reed.. I think he fits the timeline in regards to age and the Rockets not wanting to develop more young players… I love Daltons movement shooting, catch and shoot, and his high release. I also think Reed will be a “pick on guy” on defense, Ime doesn’t really like those guys honestly. But I say all that to say we’re wining the Championship next year 🤷🏾‍♂️

      @@elitetv1735 Reed a way better fit.. he would basically would take Aaron holiday spot and do what a van vleet does when Fred is out of the game.. I trust Reed more as a pure shooter, freethrows, and defense. We already have multiple players daltons size and position. It would be difficult to work him into the rotation and maintain continuity of what they have going already

    • @elitetv1735
      @elitetv1735 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@GreenroomTV - we don’t use lottery picks for 3 strings. Dalton would be at that SG-SF role, dalton is a neutral defender, dalton shot pretty good with good mechanics on high attempts (more then Reed) on many different types of 3s. (Reed was more of a catch and shoot). Reed is kinda small, he’s only like 187 lbs. dalton is 6’ 6”. So I could see him moving to that SF on some lineups, which honestly I think is a shortest depth for. If we get rid of Jalen this off season and Cam moves up, Dalton can come in instantly and be the 2 and the 3 on the bench and have Cam role like this year.

    The past doesn’t indicate the future, BUT…Houston has a history of taking star players past their prime and getting…a player past their prime. Rick Barry, Elvin Hayes, Scottie Pippen, Barkley, etc. The Klay pick up would concern me.

    Reed is the perfect player for us he can shoot and he can be the backup point guard behind Fred if Ime wants Amen to play the 3 or he can backup Jalen at shooting guard.
    I rather trade the pick for Kispert Buddy Hield for a veteran shooter but if the rockets don’t trade the pick either getting a backup big or a shooter is the two main things that they need

    This video is very much just a narrative and surface level view of the rockets right now.
    The main things that stick out to me:
    The biggest reason for the difference in wins is due to the vets, particularly FVV, brooks, and jeff green. And the previous and continued development and gained experience. Udoka was a good defensive upgrade but was actually quite poor offensively. But slowly improved over the season. He tended to over rely on players offensively, especially FVV. And would be late noticing when and how to help on that end. Early in the season he shut out green for a large part of the season for the defensive end. Combined it created a predictable and limited offense. Which became far too limited as the season went on and lead to a slump. And with injuries to players it forced udoka to both speed up, and rely on green more.
    Alpi's main issue has always been conditioning and height. Every year he has improved his conditioning and strength. And because of that he is able to handle this season's usage. Which was the primary reason for his statistic improvement. Because his core game has always been so good. And his and green's compatibility is much better than people are acting. They will still get better together as they continue to grow.
    But because of alpi's height their actual biggest need in the draft is a true vertical threat at center. To cover for alpi's weaknesses. And yes they have adams for now, but his timeline doesn't match long-term.
    Also amen has great defensive, and passing sense. But poor scoring sense, and isn't as overwhelmingly athletic as people act sometimes. He has a very good combination of speed, strength, calm, and aggression. But doesn't seem like he will ever be a real scorer.
    Cam is very strong but much more rigid than green or amen. He is a pure scorer who can recklessly pass. Can handle some but is best in bursts. Making me think slightly of a Westbrook with a better 3. The attitude and injury concerns do seem to be at least slightly true. But were also overblown. Out of the core young 6. Cam unfortunately does feel like the most likely to leave over wanting to be THE STAR of HIS team.

    There are a lot of people that want to see the Rockets package the Nets pick and some "under performing players" for a potential starter. From what I have seen over the years in podcasts, the people are right. Stone said in his end of season press conference the Rocket's have no gaping holes in their roster and he plans to stand pat with what they have. I know that might be bullshit. But why lie? Find something else to say. Being a Rocket fan from the first day they came to Houston, I have to say I have no problem with the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors have brought to the league a brand of basketball that has never been seen before and it may be a long time before it is seen again. I have no problem with that organization. Still, I do not want Klay Thompson.

    Good video but I don’t think the Rockets will be in any rush to get rid of Fred he was their best player this year in my opinion and the advanced stats say he was. His leadership, playmaking with very low turnovers, defense and 3 point shooting has been key to the Rockets crawling out of their dumpster fire of the last few years he seems like a keeper for the foreseeable future

    I think Ime is such a stickler for defense he will not bring in a shooter that is not a good defender too. Jalen Green's defensive numbers are good at times but some days you can tell he is just not interested in playing just by his body language. That's why I don't think the Rockets will pursue Reed Sheppard or Buddy Hield or Corey Krispert. I would be surprised if Stone is finished trying to get Mikal Bridges from the Nets. I think if you bring Bridges to the Rockets under Udoka, you will see the player we thought he was.
