Yeah, but still. Plus, Vegeta actively beat the crap out of Future Trunks in the Time Chamber, and I'm pretty sure did the same at at least one point in Super. I dunno, I follow the dub.

Did he fight Future Trunks in the Chamber? I remember him basically ignoring his son - Trunks himself said it as some point I think? That might have been DBZA though.
He _did_ stop him from preventing Cell's evolution, but he was still toeing the bad guy/good guy line at the time. He did get better afterwards, that's what character development is all about after all.
His fight with Trunks in Super was to test him if I recall (and he passed with flying colors). He really becomes one of the best dads in Super - granted, he still can't win against Gohan's Actual Dad™.

heh, Toei was on a rampage the past few weeks. My channel actually got a copyright claim for an old video I still had uploaded for... well, 9 years? Maybe? The old "DBZ Kryptonite" vid made by Aaron. Yup. They had to definitely put a halt to those mighty youtube dolla's I was obviously making amirite :')
I dislike the fact that they didn't address the fact that (in both of the main versions of the anime) Gohan was stronger than Goku when he fought Cell. They address it twice before the fight even begins. Once when Goku explains it, and another time when Gohan powers up to fight Cell. Even Cell acknowledges it right before he starts kicking Gohan's ass

Got a random suggestion for you guys, something you may find fun. It's a short fan made trailer by a guy on youtube called Alex Luthor titled The Last Sith: Darth Vader. It's short and feels epic as all hell. Figure you guys will have fun with that.

Y'know, considering that TFS always gets the copyright claims refuted in the end and they have the disclaimer at the start of EVERY DBZA, you'd think Toei would just lay off them. If anything, it's free publicity for their show considering they always say "Please support the official release."
If you've been watching their LP of Attack of the Saiyans, that random go going "Yeah, fuck Goku." is kinda aggravating cause the entire time they've had this hate boner for Goku, bitching about how Goku does everything and the Earthling do nothing, and i'm sitting there all like "Humans in almost all Fantasy And Sci-Fi Settings get to be the special top dogs, most of the time for no adequately explained reason, or for terrible reasons, let the one of the few settings where a Non human is king have it."
Goku finally finds an opponent on his level, then sends in his kid xD that dont make sense then again Gohan was suppose to replace Goku as main character. Eastern audience didnt care although Westerns became Gohan fan boys.
Also from what I hear Toei is okay with DBZA now and its other companies that where partnered to Toei who keep attacking Team Four Star.

Wait a minute... Gohan's hidden strength... It's Saiyan Rage! Just like with Trunks vs. Zamasu!
WolfOfSolace Nope, that is an entire different thing. Gohan is the only one who uses saiyan rage, also, what Trunks uses against Zamasu is Mystic form... yes, Future Trunks also has Mystic form which is means that he (and Gohan) are apprentices of gods of creation. This means that Gohan and Future Trunks have a different version of God Ki to Goku and Vegeta who are apprentices of a god of destruction. Also, Gohan can fight SSJ Blue Goku to a standstill in Mystic form, just imagine what will happen when he actually masters his new form.
It's all explained in the DB Super manga.

Super duper late but dbz originally was suppose to be a build up to gohan being next main character because of those times of him releasing huge amounts of power to beat enemies. When Goku died by cell he was suppose to stay dead forever and let gohan replace Goku, but the fans didn’t like it so gohan wasn’t as good as he was back then and focused Goku more.
