yeah on stream you can see jesse immediately look away from his screen cause he was already focusing on helping his teammates and knew this game was over
Congrats on getting to the finals again this year. Watched all games. Was on the edge of my seat throughout the tournament with those back to back dice roll losses. The final round of the semi finals was specially impressive. Quantal losing because of Dugares BP skip on the round before and then managing to win the Tear mirror going 2nd after for the deciding point was so peak.
Worst part about the dugares is that he would have most likely won if he first used snow effect to revive , then dugares double snow attack to 3700. But hey it was a long weekend for them, for European that time slot is basically the evening hours, misplays like this are basically surgical in nature.
It IS a spectacular card, and I think we can safely say it was THE card that won Team 7 the championship series at least as far as the final duel is concerned
I dont understand people saying putting monster in def mode would have mattered. Either way the purelly player would go plus 4 and secure Noir with 7 materials. Putting monster in atk mode just made him have game easier. The game already decided when you have no interruption during the opponent turn
What I like about the games is that once they see 8000 damage on the board, they go for game, unlike 99% of the MasterDuel ladder who still keep going until they have 7 negates, 12k damage, every handtrap imagineable, all while under Maxx-C
I'mma keep it real with you chief, the only time that has really happened to me is with Kashtira players. I might have to sit through a few extra plays from other decks, but usually I feel I can assume in good faith they are trying to ensure game through a hidden interruption or maybe just knock out a mission. Kashtira players are the only ones who ever seem to maliciously try to waste my time. Something about the deck attracts those people.
I don't know your hand, I'm going to make a negate especially on ladder. Lots of things can stop me from ending the game. If you're sticking around and not scooping I'm going to assume you have a plan
@@nsiderultimasethkash and yubel for some reason really want to make things complicated for no reason, i have 3k def monster on the field with no backrow, 1 card in hand and nothing in grave, they have 2 yubel monster + phantom and nightmare pain, they can just swing into my monster and end the game right there, but no, they somehow choose to make gigantic spright and iblee locking me
Reminds me of how disappointed I was the two didn't have a Lab showdown last year, and what actually happened instead was SO awful to watch. Ryan FINALLY gets to negate a Maxx "C", but it was with Called by and Vadis was set in the backrow. And it's not like letting "C" resolve would have helped when Dragon Link has to banish cards from GY to make their main plays anyway.
Congrats for the deep run - sadly the final didnt work out - the heart of the cards was not on your side - but still had some amazing games to get there - and even if the games were sad, as you said no shame on losing vs Team 7. Hope you had a great time at the event and take care.
MY PREDICTION Shame you couldn't get the repeat but Team 7 really earned the W, their builds and plays were both immaculate and came out ahead this time.
Like how many people did they sacrefice for the hands in round 1. Ryan with extra full combo, joshs handtrap just means he plays with one card less Jessen with horus to clear, tear for follow up etc. and Raye with, 2x Ash,2x Maxx C, Throne for combo and sharavara to dodge monster negates sure in R2 Jesse has to pay the price for 60 card brick tear... bad deck combustion and so on But quantal opens just horus + grief and loses to two handtraps :) and well the last one Duster + Cosmic + OTK combo sure its a luck based game but it feels like the games were mostly just randomly fked and we got only 1 duel that had some back and forth; the semis were so exciting and the games were so fun; but this is literally how boomers on reddit view the game - opens combo = win; opens 2 handtraps = win or for game 6 opens back row hate = win Maybe I am just salty cause the streamer that I support didnt win, but it was just such a poor viewing experience - I sit down open my drink and snack and bam its over...
thats the gist i get as well. most of these games were basically just either drawing enough handtraps to out whatever the opponent tries or you dont and just lose (Game1 for example). Also Game2 Jesse having Left Arm Offering as one of the final 2 cards is just insanely lucky. Luck seemed to be THE deciding factor in this finals
I feel the same for the finals. Semi finals was insane but finals with that 0:3 stomp due to winning dice rolls etc. All the players are extremely skilled but there was not much of it in the finals. The 1 card plays snowball so hard that its insta gg if you open poorly. Game 6 was just ridiculous having ALL the outs against emre with that 1 of duster and the cyclone to completely shut down ANY play.
Same feeling I have last year if team 7 didn't lose coin toss that much and those Maxx c we could have won last year but no matter what it already happened let us just congratulate the winner.
as soon as Ash got summoned after bonfire was ashed, I knew we were cooked.... but hey, making it to the finals back-to-back is nothing to snub your nose at. Was so fun watching you guys. The first time I saw Josh bust out Labyrinth I almost jumped out of my pants. Hope you enjoyed the weekend when Jesse activated left arm in game 2 after Emre held his own for that entire game for grass was also a play that you can't even be mad at - an absolute master class in tear.
Well deserved victory for Team 7 and finally Ryan was allowed to play. But still sad snipehunters lost :( But the Animation was dope! Thank you so much Tyl0o for updating
Spoiler: Too bad you got swept. Even after the 0-3 round 1, I still believed you could turn it around. But man that Purrely OTK was crazy, it happens so infrequently I totally forgot they can do that. Very well played by them.
@mt10-nick66 Nah, better than losing in a close series imo. Shows they were outmatched and the other team won confidently. In a close series people would just say they got unlucky or something. Will happen anyway, but these are all insane world class players. Team 7 basically played it perfectly, some of these lines were so clean. Really impressive stuff.
@@kinofchaos9085 Because he didn't play around Cosmic, thinking the position didn't matter since he will Synchro with it anyway. He misplayed and lost, while Raye played it perfectly.

Can't blame anyone, emre carried hard in other rounds and without any of them, they wouldn't have been world champs last year. It's very much congrats to both teams.
Centurion is not top tier but can still hold it's ground, however harpies feather against his backrow into cosmic cyclone on the field spell was just too much, perfect hand the opponent had to win there.

I am suspicious of double coinflip win for one team and HFD in hand for the only one player facing backroll. Especially after the HFD merchandise in the sequence. That Jesse vs. Josh duel was something alright. Maybe next year we'll actually see them play.
