The plan was to use Kirin GY effect to pop the king sac to prevent quantal from getting imsety back. However, Kirin effect reads If this card is destroyed and sent to the GY: You can Special Summon 1 "Fire King" monster from your hand or GY, except "Fire King High Avatar Kirin", then you can destroy 1 card on the field The keyword is they will resolve the special summon in order to trigger the pop effect (THEN). If megu6o tries to SS from GY, quantal can simply use shuffler to shuffle the target back and thus Kirin effect fizzles.
The idea of a WCS finalist, piloting what is probably the best deck in MD right now, being afraid of using it against paleo is strangely hilarious to me.
Well Paleo is the definition of Anti-Meta atm in MD as nobody really played a good way to chainblock their effects and almost all have problems on overly relaying on a huge board so they play into Burst. Unlike stun Paleo is a proactive anti meta deck.
Underworld Goddess was completely out of expectation and even more mentally draining for them than topped Grief, according to Hero's Future. And then Yuya shouted "HIITA!" remembering what Tasuku repeatedly told magu6o - "Keep your monsters tapped against Fire King or Hiita will crash you"🔥hell of a team effort

Crazy that one of the most degenerate cards in the history of Yugioh led to one of the most memorable moments of any Worlds event ever. Expertly played by Jesse.
The coinflip mattering so much to me is very unfair, since this is a team tournament I think it would be the most fair if each team got to pick 4 going first games, then for the final 9th game that can be a legit coin flip, I think this beats a team getting completelly screwed by the coin result.
Knowing the timer was a huge factor with the game Quantal player help add a lot of context. Shifter and Bystials are not the Tear player's worst enemy. Its the timer. I can attest picking up the Deck only iust recently. The times I had to panic select stuff as the clock was low was so miserable.
"BRO I WISH THE TIMER WAS SHORTER JUST GET GOOD" - SOME PLAT 3 REDDITOR ending on baronne pass and refuses to play when going second seriously, master duel has had a timer problem, and it just kept getting swept under the rug because the vocal minority kept yapping about how long it was (they don't think about their plays and never try to break boards, so timer never affects them)
@@Stanky_Foot and it's simple to fix. They just need to add small increments, like in a chess clock. It's even more frustrating when you go second and need to do a perfect sequence of plays to break a board.
I really hope that you play paleo for your 2nd deck. That things keep me want to root for you, but still i choose team 7 in the end. And when you dont play paleo i kinda regret but glad at the same time. Have you tried paleo with lab? Good game nontheles, im your fans paleo master, 🎉
Next year josh i honestly think you shouldn’t be too focused on using decks your not comfortable with because its meta, i loved watching your duels and i do think if you played something your very comfortable with it would have probably came to a better predicament.
The Jesse game is not even his best game, it's just a funny deck out game so people remember it. Jesse had a more impressive technical game in Round 4 vs magu6o from Hero's Future, where Jesse went 2nd without any handtraps or non-engine, and still broke a full SEFK board with just engine alone, even reduced his opponent to no card on field and hand and won easily
Tearlament easily the STRONGEST Jessie playing nurfed Tear is the coolest thing in Yu-Gi-Oh and there are losers in chat saying ,,Ban Kit, Ban Kit". Ye like after banning 20 cards from Tear why don't we kill it as well guys?

I can attest picking up the Deck only iust recently. The times I had to panic select stuff as the clock was low was so miserable.
This is why i always use labrynth cards from the start so i can chain into the dragon card etc to summon exterio

Josh can still say hes the "World champ" and use it in his titles ,just cant say "Current world champ"
But lab is actually very good vs tear though especially if you build it well
