I developed trigger finger of my right-hand ring finger about a year and a half ago. I think it was caused by the frequent use of hand sanitizer during the covid pandemic. I believe the alcohol was absorbed and dried the natural lubrication of the tendon. I decided to try and lubricate the tendon by using olive oil and a good remoisturizing and healing hand cream. I would apply a couple of drops of olive oil at the base of the finger in the palm and add the hand cream, massaging it in until it was mostly absorbed. I would apply at bedtime and a couple of times during the day. After about two weeks my trigger finger was gone, with no more sticking of the finger in a closed position when I would close my hand.
I did my research and found out that taking vitamin coenzyme vitamin B6, P-5-P (Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate) 50mg - 3 times a day along with Chelated Magnesium (as magnesium glycinate) for absorption, cured my trigger thumb! From my research they said you have to take this for the minimum of 6 months to start working. Well, 6 month and 2 weeks later my trigger thumb totally cleared up, seems like overnight after suffering for over a year and a half. I'm cured, and just last month my hand doctor said he thought I should have the surgery to fix my trigger thumb! My trigger thumb was really bad, had to splint my thumb 24 - 7. I even had steroid shots in the thumb, no help at all! Anyways, this worked for me, even though my doctor didn't believe that it would work!

I just got surgery yesterday for my trigger thumb I’ve been having for 8 months it started with my right hand but I’m assuming because my left hand is the dominant hand the trigger thumb was worse in my left than my right. So in about a month or so I’ll be having surgery on my right thumb. I’m really worried and I’m really scared because I am a type one diabetic. I’m a single mom two kids one of them being a one year old, this is really hard and has taken a toll on my mental health let alone on my physical health too
