  • Welcome to part 1 of my Revell 1/32 He111 Big Build.
    In this part I focus on the build work completed so far, including looking at the Eduard photo etch bomb-bay and wheel wells, then I discuss the painting stages I’m going to complete before further detail work can be carried out.
    The paint and tools I use are;
    Mr Hobby surfacer 1000 and thinners through a Mr Hobby PS-290 0.5mm fan cap airbrush, Tamiya XF-62 German gray through a Harder & Steenbeck Infinity CR+ 0.2mm and then Mr Hobby Aqueous H-70, RLM02 through my H&S Infinity.
    #Revell #Eduard #Harder & Steenbeck #MrHobby #Tamiya
    DUE TO THE TOOLS AND PRODUCTS USED IN THIS VIDEO, IT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN.

    Hi Ian, great to see you back and looking well. I hope you and your family are all staying healthy and safe. I've looked at this kit for a long long time. I don't usually do 32nd scale wingy things, in fact I think I've never built a 32nd scale kit. I think I have a revell Tornado in 32nd scale that was given to me as my friend said he would never build it. I'm a armour modeller at heart but when I started out I was a wingy thing ( aircraft) builder. But I then fell in love with 35th scale armour. I love building 48th scale wingy things as I always, as a kid built 72nd scale but as I've got older ( not that I look a year after 21) ha ha ha!!!! I started buying and building 48th scale aircraft. I've funnily enough just before Christmas, I think last year I decided to take the plunge and bought a heinkel 111 h-16 I think fom icm as I know their kits are becoming really fantastic and they tend to be fairly fair with their prices to. But I saw Alex from Alex modelling channel here on TH-cam, his phrase is " always work with a smile". He's a cracking chap. Well I think he built this kit or probably another version but it was a 32nd scale Revell Heinkel 111. He did a full build along to which is very worth a watch. Anyway great job buddy, looking forward to seeing more projects from yourself. Please stay safe during this torrid, awful time. To you and your family, stay safe buddy

      Mottys Military Models Hi Steve, thanks for your kind words they are very much appreciated, I do hope that you and your family are keeping safe and well too in these very strange times. I have to say I’m very much like you in that I started out with building aeroplanes, mainly 48th scale, then got drawn into the dark side on 35th armour modelling. I must admit a build of this size was never really on my radar till my brother-in-law asked me to do it, but I have since picked up a few more Revell 32nd kit to have a go at a letter date, as I’m really enjoying this build. I’ll hopefully have more progress up in a weeks time, till then keep safe and look after yourselves and I look forward to your next channel update, your IDF builds are fantastic 👍

    Great start. Could you tell the brand of resin radio set and cockpit extras? Where can I get them? Many thanks for help

      Hi Piotr, the detail radio set is from Aires part No. 2186, I also used HGW cockpit set No. 132035 and finally used Eduard big Ed set for the 1/32 Revell kit, all these can be found on eBay or through Hannants in the UK. I have to say all the extra detail parts fit very well with minimal cleanup and add so much more to the kit. Thanks for watching, I will be getting back to this build soon👍

    Your video's title says "part 1". Yet you already have completed a significant portion of the assembly. Where might one find the actual beginning, please?

      Hi David, thanks for your comment, I took the kit on part build from my brother in law as he could not finish it and wanted me to build it for him. I’m planning to pick the build up over the holidays when I get some free time from work and studying, continuing the video build until completion hopefully in the new year

      @@DavidRLentz Hi David, thank you for kind words, my brother in law has had a change of circumstances so I said I would finish the build for him. I do hope you have a happy Thanksgiving too, I wish you and your family all the best.
