I'm not dutch but the waffle thing is really good with tea/coffee. You put the waffle over the cup so the steam of your drink warms it and then it gets really nice and melted-ish on the inside.

Am I the only person that actually enjoys Black licorice?
You are not alone, there is always the dutch support. It is amazing, sweet or salty. It is pure addiction for me, if I buy a package it does not even last 15 minutes. Salmiak licorice is the best in my opinion, such incredible powerfull flavour. Foreigners(from dutch perspective) typically cannot handle it.

I had a similar version of the first sweet, except German. A few years ago, my Language Arts teacher had just come back from visiting Germany (she's German) when a sudden blizzard came our way. We were stranded in school and the only thing to eat was her German sweets. I could tell she was regretting her decision with every one she gave out, but I would've never gotten the chance to eat it otherwise. Sometimes, eating food from other places opens your perspective; it surely opened mine.

I have been eating drop since I was 1! I still eat it till this day! The salt gives it a lot of flavour but sometimes it is a bit to salty. When my friends came over I would eat some and they’d be like “can I have one” then I’ll I’ve it to them and they would spit it out 😂 I also love the fruity ones as well. By the way it’s pronounced “Dropees”. I am eating a stroopwafel as I’m writing this!

Stroopwafels are FANTASTIC. Easily one of my favorite cookie-like snacks.
They should have had oliebollen!!!! Or bitterkoekjes! :3 OR, been very cruel and had them try dubbel zoute (I've tricked friends into eating them; they've hated me, but I love them now ;P). Stroopwafel, however, is my favourite childhood snack, hands down, ever. AND I am lucky enough to live nearby to a specialty Dutch superstore that imports a lot of my favourite snacks!!!

No, I know Exactly about the guttural in French and Dutch, which both are different, I can tell, What I think it sounds like French when the audio pronounce the words completely, the tone, i dont know how to describe it, maybe you do not hear the same as i do
N and R most european languages pronounce the vowels the same, english however is completely different
No in dutch and french is really hard for me its like this really fast quil langues and dutch is very slow compared to that
