If only Bosch had keyed those pistons to keep them from rotating in their bores, this could have been a great design. Everything else looks good except for those darn rollers and pistons that can rotate. These pumps have caused a lot of folks big headaches and costly problems.
Why would a company like Bosch go backwards in design???? Even if one of there designer's got it wrong surely there should have been checks in place for someone to ask what if the piston rotates on the cam...we living in modern times this kind of mistakes are inexcusable
Peice of shit but I have over 13,000 hours on mine an I'm pulling it for a cp3 conversion cp4 hasn't failed yet I wonder if it's due to 2011 factory lift pump actually supplying a positive pressure instead of negative pressure
Dear Ronem, R - indicates the direction of rotation - right The number indicates the maximum pump capacity . The most important is the pump catalog number 0 445 010 xxx and according to it the pump is bought, ordered or repaired.

This piece of junk trash crap almost destroyed my 2019 f450 It had 85k miles when it enter on power reduce mode and my truck wouldn’t start anymore . I was 1500 miles away from home Towed to a Ford dealership after few hours they diagnostic this pump as failure with shrewd pieces of metal inside . Went all over the fuel lines and injectors to the engine Repair was estimated in over 18.000 dollars Luckily I had comercial warranty full coverage till 100k and they did repair under warranty what toke 1 week to finish Imagine if I had 100.001 miles

Solution is there though. I am developing a new tappet and gonna test it soon.
