Shamisen & Epic orchestral music : Shu is an epic soundtrack I made months ago, so I hope you gonna enjoy it ! Was starting from those Shamisen and Koto sounds (I love those japanese instruments) to finally confront it with Wardrums and orchestral instruments, that probably remind us a huge battle with some nasty sweating vikings... something like that 😂

The Viking and the Samurai met on a mysty beach that those who walk on it travel through time, the Samurai had heard of a group of ronin that were raiding a village coming from here. While investigating he found the ronin dead, all seven of them, and standing over their bodies was the Viking, carrying a bigass mystical shield that glowed yellow with Norse magics...or Loki's tears, whichever works. They engage in battle, and the Samurai found the shield to be the biggest problem, the Dane ax was it's own can of worms, on top of the shield the norse's arsenal proved to be a match for the Samurai's cutting edge tech. They fight on and on and on, both grow tired, eventually the Samurai knocks the Viking's helmet off, and le gasp! Le lo and behold! Le Viking is a le mystical shield maiden!
The Shield Maiden calls an end to the fight and then agrees to leave, and tells him that all of the Ronin are dead, then she vanished into the mist, never to be seen again, samurai tells his Daimyo that the Ronin are dead, THE END.
Good job on this ! I'm pretty sure it's the beginning of a war somehow...
@@JonRob Thank you, I am after all, an excellent storyteller, I got tired before I could finish writing it, in the original ending, the Viking's people appear on the shore, the Viking marries the Samurai and they start a village close to the shore. Then five years later, a Native American warrior and a Knight from the Crusades appear on the shore, then they go on to recruit the Samurai and viking.

The ghost of tsushima vibes are hitting
I catch myself listening to the first 26 seconds on a loop now and then. The dark mystical eastern ambient vibe is something really hard to find on TH-cam. It's great if you're scheming after dark, plotting a murder, or equipping your forces for war. That sense of implied tension without immediate danger is like a drug, to me. A stalking tiger. Once the shamisen comes in it overpowers the subtle seductive rhythm, sadly. Would love to have an hour long version with a similar tone and theme to the intro. Active listeners would get bored, but reinforcement listeners would love it. Reminds me a little of Arktau Eos. I dunno what direction you wanna go with your music but I imagine it's always a battle between what you need to express and what resonates with your audience. Thanks for sharing. I'll keep an eye on your channel for more gems.
Awesome feedback Matt ! Im glad you're enjoying those sonorities. There s another track I've released called Onryo, but yeah it's shamisen based aswell. The ghost of tsushima trailer cover aswell contains a lot of those sounds.
I'll release more of that type of content pretty soon, currently working on a Chinese horror game, I can't wait to share it ! I don't really know about what my audience wants, I'm just going to continue to do what I love, and take the time for it

A movie about Vikings vs Samurai would be an amazing concept.
Name of the movie: "Vikings raid the land of the rising sun" or a much simpler name " Vikings vs Samurai"
We need this to be the theme of a character in For Honor with Samurai and Viking lineage. Like make a faction of hybrid characters from intermingling within the factions.

@@JonRob just about everything! A solid composition with seamless transitions. Such musicianship is rare now a days. And it's also a breath of fresh air that you went with a different approach with the koto and shamisen. Those two beautiful instruments are more or less always played the same. The tired old melodies concieved from hundreds of years ago. It's very enlightening what you did with them.

Probably will do some more with that energy, that was a lot of fun to make. There's also "onryo" on the channel that you could appreciate, more of a dark hauting sound, but still pretty Japanese influenced, I love those instruments so much !

I'm not sure there are such rules. Also, this character is inspired by the Aramusha, from the game For Honor. I'm sure you'll like it !
@@JonRob I know it supposed to be based off of aramusha but in the pic I do want to say the in samurai rules if the sword is on the left then that means the samurai is to fight to kill if the sword is on the right then that means he wishes not to fight because if you were to get caught have the swor on the left while entering the house of a stranger as a guest you'll be attacked because they feel threatened so samurais always before entering houses or if not on duty has to put there sword to the right

I think it's a mix of custom samples and EeastWest. Probably StormDrums 2
