The algorithm. Certain videos get pushed at the very top of your launch page for obscure reasons that only the algorithm knows. They're not paid for, and are peripherally interesting to you based on tags(in this case probably just "music"). I believe the algorithm may be able to figure out who your relatives are, because more than once I've seen my brother play something at his house across town then it pops up on my recommended later that day.

I believe that mask is more in the style of Noh, which is a much older stage art than kabuki. Although it is a bit odd because his outfit seems very kabuki.

@Carlson Lee I wouldn't go as far as calling myself a fan yet because that would require more effort I believe. I do like their crafts, I have seen couple of them on my feed since my first comment. They are amazing at what they do. I wish them the best in this industry, I'm sure they put so much effort in producing videos such as this.

No, they likely disliked it because it fell apart after 1:52. It would have been good if she marked where the tuning posts went when changing tuning because she got it _close_ but it was so out of tune it was painful. Thankfully, it was corrected near the end but that was likely because it was recorded elsewhere at a different time.

This is absolutely amazing. The sound of the koto is hauntingly beautiful. The men dancing in the back look pretty scary with their lifeless, concealed, faces in an awesome way. Plus, their dance moves are absolutely amazing.
