    Yes its very annoying Andy. The high pitched sound from the phone's little speaker invades your space. Two people speaking loudly face to face is at a much lower pitch and is easy to ignore I find so the two situations cannot be compared. People playing their music on their phone without headphones is also annoying. There is a special place in hell for these people who have no phone ettiquette.

    I work at a grocery store and see this almost every day. Don’t even know what bugs the shit out of me more. That or the same crappy ass songs that play on our radio. That’s why I actually listen to my own music on my phone while I work.

      It's even more annoying when customers do it when they are checking out in your line. This happens all the time at the store I work at, and most commonly it's damn instacart workers. They're not even talking to their customers, it's so ridiculous!

    I hate that too! Someone did that this morning I was relaxing enjoying coffee and last minutes of peace before work and some ass hat was standing in front of the tables on a business call that way talking very loudly. Take the call if you have to -fine but walk away from people some and hold the phone to your ear like normal. Its rude to the people around you and the person you're speaking to

    See something, say something….Part of why it is becoming more prevalent is because nobody says anything directly to the person who is being rude or doing something wrong. People just tolerate bad behavior and those engaging in bad behavior suffer no consequences. You don’t have to be rude in saying something to the person, which may lead into an altercation and lower yourself to their level. Instead try something like this:
    Perhaps interject yourself into the conversation and just say, “Wow! That is really interesting can I offer you some advice about this situation? If they say something rude, just say you thought the conversation was open to the public since they are speaking so loudly on a speaker phone in a public place and that you were only trying to be helpful.” Or, was I & everyone else within earshot meant to hear that you are having an affair with a married man? If not, perhaps it shouldn’t be announced over the speaker phone in a public place, just saying something to consider.
    I have actually considered trying a couple of things, standing up in the middle of the public space and in a loud clear voice ask this question, Does anyone other than myself find it rude and annoying that there is a person speaking on their speaker phone so loudly in this waiting room? If so, please join me in a silent protest of staring at them in unison until they decide to end the call.
    Or, going to the dollar store and stalking up on cheap earphones and just handing them out to the person, without saying a word or being rude but, having phone call etiquette rules pasted on the package in large lettering.❤. Tell me what you think 😊

    should be illegal, so since the invention of the telephone in 1876 the ear piece was never good so is this the reason some annoy you is with that speaker they can hear better...Don't buy that for a second.

    It is not for you to understand. It is none of your business. As long as two people are having a conversation in public at a reasonable volume, it doesnt matter if they are in person or on the phone. You sound inconsiderate and entitled. Just leave people be. Just as you would like to be.

    • @andyforgit
      @andyforgit  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Edit: everyone is entitled in some way shape or form so yeah I’ll die on the hill that talking on your phone one on one on speaker is stupid. I’ll take that entitlement 🤣 and I’ll wonder forever why they want to be like that 🤪

      @@88jaspersimmons -- Wrong! As soon as the person's conversation gets loud and moves over into another person's area, it's time to ask that person to move out of the area or take the phone off speaker phone or use some type of earphones.

    • @veganreikiangel
      @veganreikiangel หลายเดือนก่อน

      You're wrong, it's really f****** rude. I don't need to hear a full conversation between two people over a tinny loudspeaker. It's not at all the same as two people speaking face to face! If they're having trouble hearing the other person they can get headphones with a microphone! Not to mention lots of folks have sound to disabilities like misophonia which can literally cause pain and people speaking over devices like that are a definite trigger
