    June is getting the hang of it. I learned how to airbrush by spraying a plastic egg and ping pong balls.
    I need to get a fan cap nozzle. Have a happy and safe holiday weekend.

    Hi Paul, Question, I'd like to do a Car body in Maroon Pearl, but aren't Pearl colors like say the Tamiya Clear Colors in they need a Good Base color? example, Tamiya Clear Red Looks Darker Richer with a Gunmetal Base coat. So, What Pearl color should I use on A Maroon to achieve a Maroon Pearl. Sorry for the drawn out question. LOL

    • @LeftCoastModelCarBuilds
      @LeftCoastModelCarBuilds  5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      No problem at all, are you using airbrush or rattle cans? If you are using airbrush, I would check out he selection of colors that ScaleFinishes has. If you are using spray cans, my first choice would be to look for a base color/pearl through either Tamiya, Dupli-Color or Tropical Glitz. If you are looking to spray a solid color down, then a pearl over it, I'm not sure what options Tamiya has but I know Tropical Glitz has different pearls and basecoats you can work with. I have not sprayed Tamiya clear paints but like doing a candy, I'd believe your base color is going to play a key roll in how that clear color develops, using like you say, a darker base vs like a white. You might be able to achieve the look using a dark base, shooting the clear red, then using their clear pearl coat.

      Great Idea Paul, Using a Tamiya Red Clear over a Maroon base. Thanks Alot for taking time to read and awnser this. Much Appreciated. I Use strictly a Airbrush sense starting this hobby 3+ yrs ago. Lol, Hence my Ignorance in Painting options. Thanks Again
