      The biggest tip those of us who have already been doing this tip can give us be patient and enjoy the process. If you mess up just look for a work around. And remember the old saying slow is smooth and smooth is fast. The slower you go the less likely to make a mistake. But they are bound to happen eventually.

      Do it, they're so much fun. Just don't worry about mistakes, you'll learn as you go and not make them on future models. Start with ones you don't care about messing up, just to learn. Remember, it's just plastic & it's all for fun and you won't get discouraged. That's the main thing I've learned after starting model cars.

    Been watching your channel since the early days. Every build is of the same phenomenal standard and that might be the only reason I haven’t gotten back into making models. Built military aircraft fanatically as a kid and teen in the 80’s and early 90’s then it was all Warhammer 40k. Been over a decade not building anything. Not being able to find my current real world car in a 1:18 model kit would be the other factor 😂

    I do not mean any offense but I would go bankrupt the moment I click "buy now" on the shopping website for the first knife. This may be for beginners but it definitely isn't for the ones with lower incomes. 😂

    • @HontubeYT
      @HontubeYT 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@robg.9639 I have seen the prices, for a person like me or any other person whose income is near my family's wouldn't be able to afford even a basic kit. The best starter knives we can buy without breaking the bank would be some cheap craft knife that dulls as soon as it starts to cut cardboard. Also they rust very quickly.
      I check both online and nearby stationery shops for hobby essentials but most of the times they are either transported over long distances or some other very expensive case. Also I live in a part of India where it is a metropolitan region but the income is not that good.
      I guess, it's a hobby that I might have to let go.

    Great video, but personally as a beginner I would not recommend removing the parts from the sprue until needed as sometimes, bad instructions for example, it can make it difficult to ensure you have the correct part.
    Yes I can fully understand that sometimes you need to especially if it needs painting before assembly.
    Maybe take good high quality pictures of the sprues before cutting the parts off to use as a reference, or cutting parts off a sprue and placeing in individual boxes.
    Be very careful when scribing as some models are very thin and easy to cut right through.
    When adding bumpers and such to a car body for painting, I use masking tape to hold them in place as I have had models that I cannot get the body on after glueing them in place.
    Other than that top notch, still far better than I can do, but I just enjoy the relaxation of the build process and a finished project is a bonus.

    you know you are a skilled modeler when you put the window masks straight on the first try :P well done buddy! great work as always! i know its a personal preference but i also don't cut all parts from their trees.some models are more complex than others and i don't want to lose something,also trees help you hold the parts for painting. i usually leave the parts on their trees hanging from one spot that won't be visible after the attachment on the model. also,how do you manage not to leave a single fingerprint on the polished body and clear parts :P For this, use a lot of rubber gloves guys!! Again great job! your buddy with the grey gc8 from Greece. Cheers!

      This one will be tough, if there is leg on the spoiler you can try to use a small crocodile clip to hold it. If it's whole piece flat then you have to find somewhere not obvious to stick it and spray.

    Stupid question... if Tamiya has better quality/fit, why would anyone go for a different brand (assuming there is no Tamiya equivalent for the particular model)?

    • @JHHobby
      @JHHobby  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yes, tamiya has very little models available.

    hi jh! i want to ask if it is okay to use spray paint brands like samurai or anchor as an alternative? can i just hand paint the smaller parts like the brake rotors and exhaust pipes?

    • @JHHobby
      @JHHobby  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, yes you can too but the results will not be as fine and nice as hobby spray cans because normal spray cans nozzle is bigger so the paint will be quite thick😅 but it's possible, previously i used samurai spray paints too😁
