I am an Indian but this video was very informative and I learnt a lot about my country. I kept reading about the trouble spots along India's borders with its neighbours but never could point out on a map. Very well compiled informative video about India. Cheers!

16:56 The Silliguri Corridor is called the "Chicken's neck" of India. And yeah, looking at the map might give you the naive impression that this is a weak point in India's security.
What most folks don't realize is that there are two Indian Army Corps that defend this narrow strip of land. These are the XXXIII Pivot Corps and the XVII Strike Corps. In total, these Corps have 6 divisions between them. That is 1.5X more Army Units than the British, Australian and Canadian Armies combined (not counting their reservists).
To top it all off, the Indian Army is perched on top of a mountain range running along the Eastern edge of Sikkim. These cliffs overlooking the lone Chinese salient that is marked on this map as the Chumbi valley. Indian Army can observe and thus shell any PLA force concentration on the couple of roads that the Chinese have built in the Chumbi valley in order to try and get close to the Siliguri Corridor. Any Chinese forces here are fish in a barrel.
And the final piece is an Indian Independent Armoured Brigade in North Sikkim, that can actually cut the Chumbi valley salient off from the Tibetan plateau. Any Chinese forces in the Chumbi Valley are thus not only fish in a barrel, but also under a constant threat of being encircled by Indian forces.
China's failed attempt to resolve this crippling disadvantage led to the 2017 Doklam standoff between India and China.
If China keeps increasing their influence in Bangladesh, chicken neck could be a weak point.

4:33 That is actually a major political issue in India. The Congress govt gave away a couple of Indian islands to Sri Lanka in the 1970s, along with a significant amount of Exclusive Economic Zone. This was done with no prior consultation with the local fishermen, or the State Govt. of Tamil Nadu. Even today, the state of Tamil Nadu does not recognise this cession of territory.

@@ReldrikGeo The then Congress govt. did loads of controversial stuff; such as returning land recaptured from Pakistan in the 1971 war, as part of "goodwill", or conducting aerial bombing raids in the main cities of Mizoram to suppress rebels, or enacting compulsory vasectomies to control population, or making political opposition illegal, and loads of other stuff.

@@ReldrikGeoThere are Indian Tamils living in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka threatened to remove their citizenship and deport them back to India. At that time India was already struggling with Bangladesh refugees. So Indra made an arrangement with Sri Lanka. Tamil nadu still opposes this move. But the island is not given for no reason. Agreements are made so that Indian fisher man can also do fishing and visit the island. But srilanka is not respecting those agreements recently.
Just to be clear INDIA doesn't claim anything, these areas are INDIA's and these other countries have captured it.

Incorrect. They will likely balkanize, only sindh and punjab have 30% chance of integration. Khyber Pakhtunwa will be annexed by Afghanistan due to Pashtun people and Balochistan will likely become independent.
Much more likely is Bangladesh developing and opening borders with us so that it basically becomes the same country.

@@atharvatarBangladesh is a peaceful sovereign country and they will never integrate with anyone. They are developing very fast without people realizing and very soon Indian will have a ally like Malaysia/Singapore as long as both country maintains good relationship.

It is pronounced Kashmir = cush-mir (cush rhymes with crush). In Indian languages we do nnot have the vowel sound that rhymes with flat/cap/cat. It is always cut/cup or car/far. So if you find yourself saying cash-mir that would be wrong (or American accented 😄) .
Which is why wecdont say gan-jees, we call it Gung-gaa. (rhymes with gun, not gang)

Actually China did a lot Infrastructure development in all these neighboring countries and they owes lots money to China. Due that China kinds turns all these countries against India having them starting border dispute. The only country that does have any problem with India is Bhutan and China trying to Intimidating them by stealing their land and building towns in Bhutan's land
