This is so beautifully animated. Juri is an awesome villain, and this OVA does a phenomenal job of building her up as a major force to be reckoned with.

Hmm, I wonder if one of the Dolls is going to be the 5th Ultra SF IV character? If that wasn't Juni who got away by falling from the plane, she may be the one. She may want revenge and be Juri's Rival. Or it's Santamu. Or Noembelu (Little Eagle, T. Hawk's friend). There's been a lot of hints from the OVAs, anime film, UDON comics, SSFIVs intros and endings, SFxT's character cameos in the background. It could also be Ibuki's friend (forgot her name) with the weird yellow goggles.
Just watched this on a pirate site, this was amazing, on par with the 94 animated movie, if not better because of the modern animation techniques, why didnt get a sequel, why didnt this get more praise from fans? this was a top notch production
The answer lies in the last TripleKO episode, the reason why I looked it up. It was a japan exclusive bonus for Super Street Fighter 4, where Juri's first appearance was. So it is not well known.
Actually, the only one that she fought unfettered was Guile and, from playing the game, she's easily on par with him. Meanwhile, Chun-Li was fighting her without being aware of the eye and keeping in mind that there were two injured civilians near them. Juri had casually threatened Cammy that she could blow up the plane with everyone in it, so Cammy herself was careful not to do anything to trigger it or damage the plane herself. She wins these fights with skill, strength, wits, and opportunism
Not everyone becomes a complete champion of justice after a tragedy like Chun Li has either. Both their responses are extreme emotional ones and when passions such as these come by from a tragedy, the revenge angle is much more common than the restrained heroic one. That's what makes the Juri/Chun Li dynamic so interesting BTW, in response to your unwilling suspension of disbelief on the language bit, this is subbed so that might help. Also, maybe they're all in Japan and so learned the language
I honestly think that was a special time. The animation, the tracks, the gameplay itself... SF6 feels good again, but not even close from that SF4 phenomenon. Not yet.

Juri is actually one of the more fascinating characters of SF. Underneath the evil hyena act, she's a person who lost everything and, therefore, has dedicated the rest of her life to one thing. Revenge on Bison. It doesn't matter what she has to do, if she has to ally herself to people her father would've prosecuted, etc... She wants Bison dead, that's it. She's what Chun Li could've become if she had not decided to be a typical disciplined hero. Juri is more human in her response to tragedy.

I really wish Capcom got back to making SF movies and full-on anime series, like they did with Street Fighter II:V, as short as the anime was, I genuinely enjoyed it. And if there is to be an adaptation, they should get Gonzo on board again, hell, Madhouse is also a good option.
I hope Capcom listens to us in some way and makes a complete anime adapting the Lore from the first SF one to the current SF with some quality study like this OVA. I hope so or at least it would have been fantastic if they continued making this type of movies every two years for the love of this franchise with shonen anime aesthetics.
It would be cool if you could that combo Guile pulled on Juri in the actual game i.e. He starts the combo with somersault, then does a bicycle kick (sorta), and then a hop kick from hell.
Depends, are you experienced playing with her? She's a difficult character to play and it takes an experienced player who is used to her to bring forth her true potential in the game. If so, then she is one of the most rewarding characters to play in the game
It gives off Ki (energy) which boosts her performance and gives her extra abilities, like being able to fire off the Ki and to use it to thrust her legs faster thus what she used against the two guards, guile and Chun-Li

No because Akuma thinks that Bison is being controlled by his power when in fact Bison is in full control of his psycho power. Also the first time Akuma used Shun Goku Satsu it didn't affect Bison since he has no soul and he went on to beat Akuma. The only reason it killed him the second time was due to Bison having to merge with part of his expelled soul to survive the end of SFA3. And yeah Akuma is a coward since he ambushed Bison and killed him instantly.
Great video, did they release this in the US yet? I loved the SSFIV OVAs, the only problem I have with them is that they both seem to end abruptly, there isn't really an ending. To the writers of these OVAs, a cliffhanger without resolution in an action movie is not an ending, it's just a piss poor excuse not to finish the story and leave the fans feeling ripped off, like they only watched half of the movie and can never finish it. Anyone feel this way?
I've always been somewhat of a fan of the SF lore. Bison knows NOTHING about Akuma. The only confrontation he has had with Akuma ended with him being wrecked. The only people that even defeated Akuma was Gouken and Gen BEFORE he mastered his art. After that, he killed them both. He doesn't even fight using the full extent of his power because his opponents aren't worthy. That's why he's so bent on getting Ryu to submit to evil. The only other person that could bang with Shin Akuma is Oro.
That was a fun watch. Where can I find the next episode? Is there even a next one? Ive been browsin' ye olde internet but to no avail... would be a shame if they never finished this.
