The original all-around combo guard. He was doing it all on the court : rebounding, passing and scoring. Even if his jump shoot and his defense weren't the best, it was a liability. Great video. Respect for Big O and his takes about the GOAT conversation.
I saw Oscar Robertson play at the tail end of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. He was so deliberate in his take off for a jump shot, and so strong that any contact by the defensive player had no impact.
Him and Jerry West were easily the best guards of their era. Both could play in today's modernized NBA, too. "Big O", according to former Bucks teammate Kareem, was the best PG he ever played with and that's including Magic Johnson in the mix. Imagine Rondo in a well-conditioned 6'5"/220-225lb body and letting him loose for the whole 48 minutes during a full season, there ya go! ;-)
@@23aceballer Dr. J's list is indeed top-notch, but personally I'd swap Russell out in favor of Bob Pettit for better floor spacing between him and Wilt on the offensive end. With THAT lineup, pure domination of whatever superteam you can think of for the full 48 minutes plus overtime (lol)! 😁👌

He is Russell Westbrook before Russell Westbrook 😂😂😂

At 0:39 you can clearly see Robertson's absolutely _glorious_ one-handed shot.
