Vegeta trained for God, Goku and Vegeta trained for Blue, Goku trained for Blue Kaioken, Perfected Blue and Ui. Blue Evolution makes sense in the anime and manga and Orange Piccolo makes sense from a narrative point. The only form that’s an asspull is the anime exclusive Ssj Rage, not much of an issue lol
Potential is not a BS term. It's like his talent, character, genetics and willpower at peak makes him the biggest vessel of power. Like a 2 gallon barrel has more potential to hold lots of fluid than a regular drinking glass.
Somewhat disagree. Gohan’s unique trait was his untapped rage, and slowly over the course of the first three arcs, he trained to go up to over 1,000 with someone who was over 400. He then trained but it didn’t result that great of a growth to make a difference until his latent potential was unlocked and was able to do some damage towards strong opponents like Freeza, but it didn’t last long. That rage he had was unlocked when he fought Cell, which also unlocked a new form that ascended above Grade 4 of Super Sayiajin. While it can apply to Gohan’s growth in power and his fights with strong enemies, again it didn’t affect them too much, besides Raditz but Gohan was almost as strong as him with a level over 1,300 which is a bit too much. Definetely there it was a crazy boost which never carries on. But later I find it more reasonable. HOWEVER, my problem was when he got his Ultimate form in the Boo Saga, which was just given to him. Then with Beast, it was just a repeat which is my main problem. What’s different between the Beast form and his rage form that he unlocked against Cell? That is the best example of Gohan’s out of nowhere, non-sensical power boost because again, it already happened, why did he unlocked a similar form?
I wouldn't sat he can surpass a Saiyan of the same age, I'd more accurately say he has the ability to surpass a full blooded saiyan while applying reduced effort. As a 5-6 year old, he trained a year, and his power grew up so much he could defeat radits effortlessly (if he wasnt afraid to fight), meanwhile goku spent hiwever many years training with Kami (forgot the exact number, dont want to risk saying the wrong one) having a background of extensive martial arts training, and even then he was still half to a third of Radits's power. It's not so much about 6 year old Gohan being able to obliterate 6 year old Goku, is the fact that 6 year old Gohan with mimuscule training had the raw power to obliterate pre-Kaiosama Gokuand his two decades of exhaustive training. And the removal of the tail probably happened at just the right time for this to kick in, unlike Goku's.
I personally have no problem with Gohan's new transformation. I just feel as if it greatly devalues divine forms. Like what is the actual point of divine ki or ultra transformations? I just feel like having Gohan surpass Goku (who before Black Frieza) was arguably the strongest in the universe with Gas greatly devalues the allure of Godly transformations such as UI or UE. Like why go down the path of UI if you're just gonna be surpassed by Gohan training for a week or getting angry? It makes those forms pointless.
Divine forms have already been surpassed since the second arc of Super, Freeza in 4 months reached “god level”, Hit surpassed S.S.God in the manga but in the anime is x10 stronger than Blue, in the manga Kale is stronger in her breserk form, Jiren in both continuities is stronger than both before Ul, and (Super) Broly is a mutant who’s level surpassed Gokou & Vegeta with Ikari (x10 boost as it’s an Oozaru in human form) and S.S.Grade,1 (x50 boost, making it x500 in total).

How many times has Gohan “unlocked his potential”? How many times can he unlock his “full potential?” I’m not a Gohan hater but I want them to make it make sense. Just saying that’s who he is doesn’t pass. This is not One Punch Man he does not get a pass. Explain. How he have more potential than Freeza who beats someone up for a month or two and surpasses Goku and Vegeta after reaching and training in Blue form. Seems like they are trying to get everyone on the same power level for some reason but don’t want to spend the time getting them to it. What next? Krillin will spar against SSJ Blue Goku after training for like a whole day. In DBZ cell arc they at least used the time chamber.

Thing is that Gohan can never fight at full power at will. He needs some people to die for that shit. Goku not going full power means nothing. Gohan is usually pussy mode in anything but the few minutes after a loved one's death
In cases like this it's more an Ass-pull that they kept him weak due to the vast amount of evidence in favor of it and usually the reason they don't is plot. That's less of an Ass-pull and more like taking away nerf.
@@crimsonninja4097 …NERF!? He hadn’t been training for a loooong time and they still give it to him. Nerf? More like his ultimate form is weaker than god even if he trains a bit.
Anybody who tries to defend this trash of a transformation go Han beast, literally has no ground to stand on. That’s how bad it is. Do you know it’s bad when people have to go to unreliable sources outside of the manga in the anime to do their best to justify the treachery that’s taking place. This would absolutely be unacceptable for Vegeta, let alone Goku. Yet, when it comes to Gohan, here we are, smh. Nobody is sayin we don’t have faith in Gohan do to his monumental feats, training and moments. The problem is givin a character a transformation that the character in question absolutely did not earn. No justification.
So many people don't understand that every form doesn't need to be unlocked via trauma or anger. The Z fighters have been fighting for 20 years with the best fighters on earth and space. In Dragonball, Goku was 3ft tall fighting Demon King Picolo and Chi Chi's dad King Ox. Vegeta came in DBZ and was still using a scouter for crying out loud. Frieza, Cooler, Broly, Androids, Buu, and Cell. That resume alone is enough for me to believe in ANY form they unlock. These bandwagon haters disguised as fans are funny.
People don't struggle to accept Gohan being as strong as, or perhaps even stronger, than Goku, because they don't believe it. Everyone is aware of all of this evidence suggesting that to be the case. The trouble comes because no-one wants to accept that as the reality, hell even more than that, people have been conditioned against accepting that as the reality. Anime and fiction in general is full of stories about hard work overcoming natural ability. There is a reason for that. People want that to be true, they want to believe that it is possible for them to excel and that they aren't just limited by their genes. Gohan is unique as his purpose is to send the exact opposite message. Gohan's purpose is to tell the reader that they will never amount to anything because they weren't born with superior genetics. They are just ordinary people. No-one wants to hear that story, so they resist it. People would rather believe that Gohan and his natural talent will never compare to Goku and his hard work, so despite the evidence that supports that horrible notion, people choose to disbelieve it.
@@Citizen_Nappa23 It is poor writing, that is the point of what I was saying. That is why people have trouble reconciling it, they aren't used to such poor writing even when all of the evidence for it is staring them in the face.
I agree that he should've gotten this during TOP. Every saiyan broke their limit, but Gohan didn't really even have that much growth. In the anime, he sees a family get erased and clearly thinks of Videl and Pan, but he doesn't get mad over it. But, the main plot point for one of his power-ups in the movie was Pan being held hostage. Then the next is when Piccolo gets beaten. You're telling me the erasure of everything you ever know and love didn't set him off, but that did. It's just annoying to me personally. Also, my point in the video so far is when he says he's equal to blue. He hit blue 3 times, and that's "equal." If I hit Prime Mike Tyson 3 times, I don't think I'm equal to him at all. This was also during the time of 17, and Krillin was going against blue, so idk just a random powerscaling moment. But, I will say he does eventually make it to blue scaling wise in his ultimate state because of the secret training. Just like how ever other forms get stronger, the more you use it. Once the super hero movie exists, that's when he's at least Moro blue level.
