    This is so fun! I didn’t know the Emma ones, so that is clearly the book I know least!

      Yay! I'm glad you found it fun. I feel like we're due for an Emma reread. I love Emma so much, but S&S is definitely first 🥰

    Marissa this was a wonderful video and so much fun! I got 7/10 and I am figuratively kicking myself because I just finished listening to Northanger Abbey last night but I thought that quote came from Persuasion, lol! I loved what you mentioned about the quote from Caroline Bingley because I feel the exact same way! Every time I hear that quote I think "Girl you are just picturing the library at Pemberley because you want Mr Darcy, not because you actually like to read and luckily he sees through you!". Wonderful video again :D.

      Thank you Carolyn! I'm delighted that you had so much fun! And yes lol I just imagine Jane rolling over in her grave with laughter at all the merchandise plastered with Caroline Bingley's ironic sentiments. 🤣

      @@BlatantlyBookish I do love that line I just wish Elizabeth had said it unironically rather than Caroline lying just to try and fail to catch Mr Darcy 🤦‍♀️🤣.

    I got #6. I recognized the other quotes but couldn't remember which book they came from. This was a fun video!

    How fun! I got right 6 quotes, with 5 extra points for guessing which characters say the quote 😊

    Wow. I've been reading Emma for the month and have definitely made it far enough to have read #6 but completely forgot about it.
    Isabella Thorpe's statement about friendship is a similar one to #10 in that people quote it as a noble statement, but Isabella is one of the falsest friends in Austen's novels.

    • @BlatantlyBookish
      @BlatantlyBookish  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah that's ok. And you are definitely right about Isabella Thorpe's statement. I'm sure people quote that frequently as well.

    Oh this was fun! 1 was a little harder (I thought either Elinor or Fanny) and I did get 3 wrong (I'm sure there is a similar line in P&P!)

    • @BlatantlyBookish
      @BlatantlyBookish  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad you had fun! I wouldn't be surprised if there is a similar line in P&P.

    I did terrible... I got three right LOL! And some of the ones I got wrong, I was pretty confident in my choice. I guess this means I had better go back and read them all again...

    • @BlatantlyBookish
      @BlatantlyBookish  ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly! It's just an excuse to read more Austen lol. ❤

    so because the character didn't mean it we aren't aloud to use it even if it applies to us its not our fault jane gave the good quotes to "the fake ones "

    I didn't do very well on this, probably because I read these books so long ago, except for Northanger Abbey.

    • @BlatantlyBookish

      That's ok. It's just time for some rereads! 🥰
