Was the first thing I noticed too. Have been looking at new '23s and '24s lately otherwise I wouldn't have noticed such a minor discrepancy. Sounds better than stock at least.
Good call Also noticed the 2024 F150 no longer comes with the clamp on exhaust tip, just the raw bent piping cut Ford is nickel and dime’ing anywhere and everywhere
@@Jacob99174 you can get a tip if you want it. It's not standard on any truck. It's always in some package or an add on accessory. Ford did standardize LED headlights and the 12 inch infotainment screen on ALL trims, though. Pretty sure 98% of buyers would rather have functional upgrades included over something as minor as an exhaust tip.
I've got the Pro XS on my 22 5.0. Definitely deeper and a bit louder than stock. Might swap to the XR1 for a bit more volume. Can't go wrong with Borla.
Not bad, but not particularly good either. Especially considering the cost. As predicted, you can barely even hear it, but it is deeper than stock and not much louder. Stock+ at best. I had them on one of my cars, and it was the same thing. They could almost be sold as a stock replacement except that they drone a lot for how quiet they are. If you're in the NY metro area I have a pair of those 40085s that I'd gladly give you.... 😂 I would have loved to have heard some Black Venom 250s or Carven TRs on that F-series instead....
@@FiveBoroNative a venom is chambered. It doesn't flow for shit. A carven TR is a cheap muffler, the packing blows out in about 3 months. Borla packing is pretty durable and if the owner were to go a supercharged route, the muffler will hold up. Oh and the Borlas 304 SS. Not aluminized.
Because it's not exactly the same. It's the same foundation, but different timing, cams, and exhaust structure. If they put the motor from the Mustang directly into the truck it would suck at doing truck things.
I think if he got a tune and ran ,e85/93 , intake manifold and cai, and maybe cams or headers it would sound even better. Nice exhaust but it sounds like a bone stock factory 5.0, they do well with mods and a tune . Great stock too but the noise just isn't coming through. I think just making it louder with no resonators is gonna bring out the ugly sounds to the coyote the fart sounds.
That's a 2023 they changed the front and rear for 2024

Just changed the front headlights and grill with rear headlights unless you want the GMC inspired multi tailgate bs

Nice tasteful exhaust. Great move by the owner leaving that resonater on it.
Loud and not raspy awesome work
That sound will mature nicely. Love it!
I had that same setup on my 2019 F150. Give it some miles to burn in and it'll get a little louder. Perfection IMO. Didn't drone either.

If the truck owner is reading this, does that F150 have a leveling kit?
I love the sound! ❤
I’ve got a 2024 in the same color and looking to do the exact same setup! Sounds really good! What size dual tips are those?
That's how the owner likes it!
Sweet!😎
Nice work! 🤘🏻🔨😎 Sounds okay.
Does anything else need to be bought along with the muffler or does it fit right in after taking the factory muffler off?

Borla flows better than that crap. That and not everyone wants a clap trap either, or something that's loud. Some just want a little extra noise.
@chkntndy7727 I agree, but what does thst extra flow net...? Can't be much and neither of those mufflers clap, but they do also flow well

Sounds really great and deep too 💪
Cool truck👍
Sounds good 👍👍
Man talk about restriction with those stepped down god awful joints and welds
Nice and deep! Great job! 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
1:45 the Coyote F150 has a cold air intake from the factory. Are you saying this truck has an aftermarket CAI, or are you just talking about stock?
Probably an aftermarket piece of garbage
Perfect!
On 5.0 2020 an newer sound great with tru dual an flow master best sound
This one also needs a little more 👍🏻🔥
Chevy guy but that thing scoots and I assume Ford will still sell us a RCSB.
If this is the same engine in the mustang why does it sound completely different?
Because that muffler is strangling it. You've never seen anyone use the Borla 40085 on a car. It's too quiet.
Mustang has an equal length exhaust, and the coyote in the F150 has a different firing order.
@@chkntndy7727 it sounds terrible

Not a 2024 bud.
Resonator goes in the 🗑️!
The resonator is what kills drone and makes it drivable at highway speeds for more than 20 minutes.
I'd remove the resonator, should sound even better.
It definitely needs the resonator removed
It keeps the cab quieter that way you can actually hear the radio lol
It definitely don't coyotes are extremely raspy engines
Should’ve removed that other resonator, and put on a race bullet instead of that grandma Borla junk

What do you meant with no resonators? Watch at 0:59 and he calls out and you can clearly see the resonator.
Sounds like a ricer when you rev it lol
You need new hearing aid batteries, Skippy!
@BobSmith-mc7uq who are you? Lol who cares
@@emeraldstevens8922 Obviously YOU care. You replied back.
@emeraldstevens8922 I don't think you know what a ricer sounds like.
