OMG. I think this video just convinced me to take my M4 to the dealer when the time comes. Thanks for the video. I just don't think I can do this and risk damaging the car. By the way, my dealer replaced my plugs under the service warranty at 25K.
Hey great video bro, I’m going to attempt to change mine on my F82 too but first I have a ?? I was wondering what Bmw recommendation for gapping the plug because I’m thinking using some NGK iridium plugs instead .
Great video. Thank you for posting this. Not a bad job, but a little tedious, given the many parts to remove to reach the plugs. How difficult was it to reach the plug near the firewall?
Good lord...what a job considering it has to be done every 30,000 km or so...I'll definitely take mine to a pro. Doing this in my 996 only requires jacking the rear and removing the wheels (removing the mufflers as well does make it easier).
Omg that’s a lot to take off just to do a spark plugs replacement. The maintenance requirements on a Bmw is just too often. On most cars spark plugs change is at 100.000 miles. Like Lexus
Non turbo BMW'S are 100,000 miles. Turbo BMW'S are 60,000 miles. Turbo engines are hard on plug. I wouldn't run my non turbo 100,000 miles with the same plug anyway.
Thank you for taking the time! I’m planning to do mine this weekend!
Thanks for the vid. I’m no where near needing this done on mine but it’s nice that you took the time to film this.
Agree with you. I've already tagged this video in my DIY folder ;)
Thank you for your effort ..
A Bmw M4 driver from Germany
👍👍👍👍😉
Excellent video thank you 😊 like watching before I dive in. Fairly new to the f82 going to be doing mine starting today 🙌🏼
Nice video. Great car! I was relieved when I saw the torque wrench! ;)
Thanks for this Great Video 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

What Torque wrench is that if I may ask?
Holy shit. Changing out the spark plugs on my mid-engine flat six Boxster was waaaaay easier than this.

How much did you save by doing it yourself?
Dealer wanted to charge me 1300 to change plugs at 18,000 miles .. lol luckily I had warranty lol

60,000 miles.. did I hear that correctly?
I think that is recommended by BMW?!
Yes, 60,000 miles on turbo engines. I just change my n55 plugs, feels like a new car again. Some of the plugs was slightly out of spec.
I was just told from a third party shop that this is recommend at 30000 because of the higher compression...I am debating doing them now or later.
I got lost
