@pablorodriguez1964 I didn't get the controls to work. But there is a work around . With the new firmware if you hit the mute button the you can control the fan speed and temp with the volume up and down and the track skip buttons

I installed my unit with your video and connected everything as is and everything works perfectly, what I haven't been able to do is control the AC through the steering wheel. thanks in advance.

Hello Mate. I am writing to you from Nicaragua (The land of Hilux) I am so glad I finally found a detail instruction on how to install this unit. I bought my unit a few years back and did not get around to install it as I didn't know how to install the AC wires to the unit. Your instructions were a blessing. I followed your instructions and I was able to get the ribbon out of the AC control unit and installed it on my CANBUS. The issue I have is that as soon as I plug in the Canbus my Hazard light go erratic and I am not able to turn it off. Did you come across this issue or is this isolated to my unit? I have not been able to try my AC as my first issue is the hazard light flickering like crazy. I am wondering if I have a defective CANBUS. Let me know if this is something you are aware of and if you can help. Thank you. Great Video by the way. RB
The only problem I had was the hazards didn't work when the car was turned off. Only thing I can think of is jet some electrical contact cleaner and spray it in the switch, push the button a few times with no power connected then plug it back in and try it again
Thank you mate. You may be correct about the switch, the only thing that makes me feel that it may not be switch, is because I am able to push the button in/out without issues. I will give it shot though, I hope I don't blow a fuse @@n70tonka

It is definitely worth it . So far it has no glitches and running smoothly, the start up time is very quick as well . The ac works it is just a setting on the unit you change and it's all good.
@@n70tonka Thanks a lot for the reply I got one from the factory in china from AliExpress and it is almost identical to yours, my Hilux is 2013 model I have received an OBD2 cable with it and other wires you didn’t have, but what i didn’t see is the ribbon for the A/C that you mentioned it is supplied.. i asked them before if i have to remove the A/C board and they said no.. i have same module as what you have Is it possible there is another way to get A/C working or i must use the board the same way you did
Were you able to connect the AC steering wheel controls to the unit? Can you control the AC from the steering wheel?

It must be the wrong unit for your vehicle .
If your vehicle has manual turn controls this unit will not work .
