Although this is not a reason to forgo purchasing from CostCo, it is something new we learned today purchasing some new office equipment. Apple products are not tax exempt. I volunteer for animal rescues, and the rescue I was assisting is a legitimate 501c3 with tax exempt status at Costco. Everything rang through and the purchase was paid for. But when we went to the pickup window to get the Apple laptop, we were told that the purchase has to cleared and re-rung to,include taxes because Apple products are not tax exempt. Makes no sense to me but it did create an additional 30 minutes of getting it all sorted.
That makes no sense to me either, but I appreciate you sharing in case other people might be in this same scenario. Thanks for watching and sharing and have you tried contacting Costco customer service to inquire as to why this is the case when you’re a legitimate 501c3 shelter? They might explain it more more detail, or they might compensate you someway for it. It might be worth a shot.

I just bought an iPhone 15 pro unlocked 256gb from Costco online. It arrives today it came with Apple Care not sure how much that it came with but I do know that I didn’t have to buy anything extra. The only thing is I had to get black because they were out of the natural titanium in the unlocked 256g
It’ll be ok I’ll have a case on it anyway. I have a purple otterbox defender on the way for it which also arrives today. I know bulky but these cases have saved my phones multiple times over the years. It was too big of an investment not to still use otterbox defender
The benefits of buying Apple products at Costco are just so good, and I always put a good case on my phone as well. I use a Bellroy 3 card case, that way my wallet and phone are combined and I have less stuff on me... enjoy the new phone!

Bad part is the mattress isn’t for me
Good part is: they’re coming to get it on the 25th for a full refund and bringing the one I bought from them to replace it with at the same time!

Will Costco carry the Apple Vision Pro anytime soon or unlikely because of the fitting process?
There is no official news on this yet, but I imagine this could be something you see happen eventually, but since they were just released in the US (not even the UK and Canada) and demand is so high I imagine this will take quite some time. From what I read, you can do a face scan with an iPhone or iPad to determine which size fits best to streamline the buying process. I’m not sure what to think of Vision Pro yet… will you be getting it? 🤔
@@matthewjosiah That's what I've seen as well. I imagine it's supply & demand as you said. I'd like to get a pair but I'm hoping I don't have to drive to an Apple store to get them. There just isn't any timelines out there as to when that might happen. Thanks for the quick reply!
@YoungMoneyInvestments I think a specific in-store fitting would definitely slow sales down, but if they can do that process at home, sales could skyrocket if the supply is there. Thanks again for watching! 👊
