蛇に羽が生えただけで何だかぐっと可愛く感じるのは何故だろう
若者バージョンの時に、人身供物としょうして…してたからな（女神転生Ⅳファイナル）
美しい龍ですな
いろんな作品にも出てくる竜神さま。
優しい方ですがやらかしてしまったため故郷から迫害されたちょっとおっちょこちょいな神様
そして蜘蛛とジャガーが大嫌い。
Dragon Quetzalcoatl:
A creator god of Aztec myth. Synonymous with the sun, Venus is said to be his heart. He is also a god of wind who grants breath. He made humans from his own blood and fostered their fertility and culture as their protector.
He uses Maragion, Matarunda, Recarm, and Wind Breath, while Agilao, Zanma, and a Magatsuhi skill whose name is hidden are listed.

Quite different from the Mesoamerican illustrations. This is basically a snake with feathered wings (plus bird tail).

同作のYHVHと悪魔たちにさしたる差が無いことを逆説的に描き出すナイスな性格でしたね
友蔵みたいな声で「人身御供となったッ！！」って喋った時は笑いそうになりました

I prefer his human form, especially in Strange Journey where he has a lot of resistances and is one of the best demons overall
Yeah it definitely emphasizes more that he’s a Mayan god. Plus the snake form just feels somewhat simplistic
I also prefer the human form. Especially in Kobayashis Dragon Maid

出る作品で落差が激しい神様
人型だけどシルエットが翼の生えた蛇に見える姿も好き

前にメキシコの人に、メキシコ人って基本みんなカトリックだけどケツアルコアトルとかどんな存在なの？って聞いたことがある。
曰く「ちょっとラッキーが欲しいときに軽い気持ちで神頼みするような存在」なんだとか。聞いた相手は１人だけだから、それがみんなにとっての共通認識かはわからないけれど
…へえ～…日本的に近い感じな

アステカ文明と聞くと生贄とかちょっと怖い信仰が思い浮かびますが、人間を良き道へと見守る神様なんですね。
次回はインキュバスが登場〜。
アステカ文明は『ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 ファントムブラッド』でお馴染みですね。
人間をやめたディオはその後、様々な部で存在が語られる位、この作品には切っても切り離せなくなりましたね。

Surprised they went with this design, especially since they used the Humanoid form in SMTIV:A. Makes me wonder if different designs of demons can exist side by side at the same time, like regular Angel and bdsm Angel for example.
They probably went with this design cuz it already had a 3D model
In smt dx2 there's two kind of alice, and also other demons that also have multiple designs. But outside of dx2, i dont think so
@@sleepycowboy18 I think it’s somewhere mentioned that Dx2 is canon. I don’t remember whether SEGA or ATLUS said that though.

Thank you Atlus for finally saying my boy Incubus is next. I've been waiting for so long. It took 162 entries, but I can now be free at last. I hope so much that he's just as goofy as he is in other games. Literally the best demon imo, and he'll be going straight to my endgame team along with the toilet demon.

Is it? I feel like Kaneko just took the "feathered serpent" description too literally and turned it into a stupid looking design.
its not accurated, even when Quetzalcoatl is presented in 'feathered snake' form it was a gigantic plumed rattlesnake, not just a noodle with wings.

ケツアルカトルは龍型と人型の2つのデザインがあるけどやはり龍型のほうがしっくりくるな。

@@EXFrost Makes sense since it's an extremely common practice over in Japan to make mobile phone games of popular franchises with high quality assets. And then proceed to not use those assets in any kind of mainline projects. Which is kinda weird in Megaten's case given how that would at least smooth out and enlarge ATLUS's choices for what demon designs they can use in 3D. My only proper guess as to why they don't is that possibly the Dx2 stuff is SEGA assets and not ATLUS since Sega are the dude's who actually work on it.
@@ils4844 ye and of course u can't just port them across cus of how choppy most of them look at higher resolutions, you'd have to give them a lot of love. And I've heard a lot of this Sega owns it theory
@@EXFrost I mean you CAN tbh, the poly count for Dx2's stuff isn't too far off from stuff from P5 anyways, and plus the models look fine and were allegedly made with being HD in mind. I've managed to get the game running on my gaming PC before and can attest to it.

I honestly expected them to make a new design at least, since this game seems to circle around top deities from different cultures, it was bad enough that America didn't get any representation but a lvl 30 creature that looks feeble? idk man it just rubs me the wrong way
Aztec demons are always getting the shaft subtly/unintentionally, the beginning of RONDE starts off at a museum exhibit where they're allegedly showing off a bunch of Aztec deity statues but then you fight them and they're not even deities from Aztec culture wtf!!! It doesn't seem like any deities from the Americas have any representation in SMTV's Bethel organizations though interestingly enough. Although law has sorta stationed itself at Japan with Abdiel and stuff so that could technically be considered "close enough."
I mean... it's his classic design that was used in pretty much most SMT games, but I can see why one might think he needs a redesign.
It's a Major God in Sumerian Pantheon in according to myths. Being this low leveled doesn't fit at all. Imagine if they put demons like Odin or Vishnu at this place. Yes i also dislike this design.
@@neelfida4146 Quetzalcoatl is from Aztecan mythology which is located in mesoamerica, where the hell are you pulling "Sumerian" out of your ass from? Sumerian mythology is from Mesopotamia, which is nowhere near anywhere that's Mesoamerican. Either way despite all of the design hate it is technically accurate, since the dude's name literally means "feathered serpent" and has allegedly two forms.
His low level is quite a bit odd though tbf given how he's some kind of hero or creation God. Odin has been low leveled before as well though, at least as low as 30 lmfao. Nobody complains because who cares, you want strong Aztec snake? GRIND to give em' those MASSIVE GAINS.
@@ils4844 Theres no possible way to make it good, hes fucking low level and probably with none of the resistences/immunities that he had in Strange Journey/IV/Apocalypse they just played dirty into a chief God because is not from the more famous and overused pantheons used in SMT like the asian/hindu and european ones.
In IV my Quetzalcoalt was fucking overpower, just backing his weekeness to dark(it make sense since he's a God of light and sun) and boom, stock Trisagion + some fusions to give him Deadly wind, elemental passive skills and he was my elemental killer until Lucifer Palace.

別ゲームですが「サムライスピリッツ」でマヤの戦士・タムタム及びその一族が信仰してる神なので（そこでは「ケツアルコアトル」表記）
そこで名前を覚えましたね。そこでも太陽神と言われておりました。

This is like the one demon that could've benefited from a new design cause boy it's starting to show it's age like old purple Odin did.
It's a shame they aren't using the Dx2 unique demons 3D models, cause I would've loved human form Queltz here.
"Old purple Odin" is more accurate than the new Odin. New looks good but old was perfect. Dx2 doesn't deserve to be an SMT game.

I don't care for either design. This one is way too simple, and the other one way to Japanese. Would appreciate some more recognizable Aztec art - really dig Xiuhtecuhtli for that reason.

Incubus is a demon in male form supposed to lie upon sleeping women in order to have sexual intercourse with them, according to a number of mythological and legendary traditions.
Probably my first dissapointment as the humanoid one looked amazing.
