I've been retired from the New York State Dept. of Corrections for 2 years now and thinking about this EVERYDAY! I moved down to Myrtle Beach SC about a year and a half ago due to a family situation. I live off of my pension and have some savings. I'm single, i rent($$$$$ ridiculous), and basically so ready to pull the trigger. Have been watching videos and such for what seems like forever. I'm sick of everything here and could live so much better over there. Heat doesn't bother me, even all year long. Prefer that after a lifetime in NYS believe me. This is on my mind every single day.

Very informative as usual. I'm gearing up for an early retirement in the next few years and all these are good points to consider. Currently, my focus is on paying off all debts we've become accustomed to in the US and on downsizing the lifestyle. Still planning to make a trip to Philippines in next few months to check out the area and different places. For now gotta get back to work 😂😂. Keep up the good work JJ.

The main reason a lot of men are looking at places like the Philippines, Brazil, Thailand, etc. is the marriage and dating scene in the West is something of a train wreck. Most men are just used as an ATM and then get dumped or divorced the moment a Chad shows up or their wife feels bored or unloved or wants more "me time" or (insert your excuse here!). Then she decides to leave and takes 50% of his assets along with the kids plus he gets straddled with alimony and child support for a decade. Its everything from the court systems to the train wreck dating scene that is pushing men towards these places. The cost of living benefits is just icing on the cake.

Hi JJ , it’s Matt again from Hawaii. What a fantastic video this is. All of the questions you addressed were spot on. My life is so similar to yours that I can’t believe it. I booked a flight to Thailand yesterday. I am planning on staying there for about 2 1/2 months because I have the elite visa for Thailand. I am also planning on going to the Philippines BGC and spending about 3 weeks there. I hope to meet up with you there. After that I am planning on going to Malaysia for about 3 weeks. If everything goes good and I like it enough I will return home and sell my condo and Honda pcx and move to south east Asia and divide my time between the 3 countries I mentioned. Your videos are a big reason for my interest in a life changing decision to move. Thanks again for all of the great content you provide.

Good morning JJ from Florida. As I mentioned before I will be arriving in the Philippines April 17.
I will be scouting different locations as to where I may want to live outside of the US
Retired with a fire department. I do have a pension and a savings. I feel I can a much more comfortable life there, even though my life here is very comfortable.
I intend to rent my home, at least for the time being and if I do move to Philippines, it would be a trial or at least six months.
Maybe we could get together and have a conversation. Thank you For all your videos. I find them informative. 🐸🙌

There are some good courses around here, and I brought my clubs back the last time I was in the US. Sadly I haven't been to a course yet. I really need to make time to do that. Every course here provides you with a caddy.

@@JJthelonelybullinasia Moving to the PH to save money is the nuclear option. As such, paying $600/mo instead of $1800/mo is not enough to justify the move. Some Expats are renting 3 bedroom bungalows for $500 - $600/mo when they should be renting for $200 - $300/mo. These 2 year millionaires will soon be repatriated and having lunch with John from Old Paul New Tricks.
