I truly agree with you, I was born and raised in the Philippines and I now live in Texas triangle. I lived in cebu city when I was in my university days and I never wore a jewelry because there’s a lot of snatchers they will snatched your jewelry right in front of your face. So when i go back home I will take off all my jewelries. And even when I go to the rural areas. I’m plain simple. And when I take a taxi from the airport or going to airport they asked so many questions and I will replied i work in Thailand. I will never said I’m going to 🇺🇸. To all the foreigners out there, be careful don’t go to the remote area where theres a lot of kidnappings. Stay in the City if you love your life. And also there’s a lot of Pinay who are scammers they don’t love you they just want your money they think you are millionaires because you aware foreigner. But every country there’s a lot of scammers and bad people, so just be careful out there. And don’t eat street food you will get sick. To be continued….
Each vloggers need to define what they consider "Dangerous" to be. If they mean, what is going on in Southern Mindinao, then speak to that specifically. If they are referring to scammers going after ex pats, then speak specifically to that. They need to stop using that word at large and all encompassing because it creates too much ambiguity for the average person to discern or understand what they are really talking about. I live here in the Philippines. By and large the Philippines is a safe place. But if you are an expat or looking to go to a foreign country, then you should always be aware of your surrounding and what is going on around you. If you dont, then things happen that could have been prevented. BGC is probably the safest place in the Philippines. So if that is where some of you want to live, you will not have to really worry. @JJ.. I hate Manila taxis. My gf always laughs when I say that. Lol
I had a taxi driver try to get extra from me on top of the meter charge. He kept asking for more money, first it was the traffic, then it was the pay, finally he said it was his daughter's birthday. Sorry Kuya. Not my daughter.
Always tell the driver to use the meter, no matter if you're in the Philippines, Thailand, or wherever. If they refuse, get out and find another. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching.
When I went there for a holiday, someone there tried to convince me to buy property there and allow him to be the caretaker of the house/land while I return home and I continue to pay him some monthly salary. This guy followed up with this idea the next day as he knew my hotel, and he was working nearby. When I returned home and met two Philippine ladies who are close to me now, they actually told me that it is common for some ppl living there to forge documents to get the land or property under their names. I have no qualms believing them since these ladies earn nothing from telling me this.
Wow really… So Many Scam all over The World’s Same Thing in Italy Try to Scam Us Too ….. JJ is right you Can Talk to an Attorney, Before you do Something your not Sure About 😂✌️
I use grab so not a problem i always go to the supermarket's the price is displayed, I won't walk around late at night on my own i haven't had a problem in the Philippines but some places can be dangerous, Its a developing country there's a lot of poverty were there's poverty there's crime its a fact.
I was recently warned, by a Filipino, that, after visiting a bank in Manila, I should never take a taxi which is waiting outside of the bank or which drives up to the bank. He said that there is an organized crime scheme, involving taxi drivers, to pick up foreigners - who have likely just made a large withdrawal , transfer, or currency exchange - and rob them. He recommended walking several blocks away from the bank, before picking up a taxi. Another thing to be aware of is that it is against the law to be alone with an underage child, who is not a member of your family, particularly in private locations such as your condo/apartment or hotel room. You can probably guess why this law exists, but it has also been used to setup & extort money from foreigners. Apparently, this law also applies in public areas, incl. shopping malls, and a Filipino can get you picked up by the police for questioning, if he/she thinks that something suspicious may be going on.
I've been outside of BGC many many times. You should watch my video again. I never said it was completely safe. I said be smart and aware of your surroundings. But thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
Why would you choose to live or even spend time in a place where you don’t feel safe?? I travel around the PI many places, but I try to be smart about where I go and situations I put myself in. There are many many safe places to date, hit the beach, sight see, play golf, shop and live. Why choose a borderline or dangerous place. That’s basically what I do and what the Bull said.
@@justsmy5677 One of the biggest reason people go to the PH is to save money and live on a modest budget. These people want to know that it's safe to live in the PH on such a budget. It's disingenuous for a guy living in BGC to say that it's safe. Again, tell me that it's safe to live in Pasay city and I'll believe him.
Great video JJ. I agree with you 100 percent on what you said. I live in Hawaii which could be considered the best state in the United States to live and I live in a good area and there is crime here also. So if you practice good judgement you will be safe in most places. Don’t take any negative comments to heart because you always give great advice and information.
I'm thick skinned. Comments help my algorithm, whether positive or negative. Lol. TH-cam just looks at the number of comments. The more comments the more TH-cam will suggest my video to others. Thanks for watching. By the way I love Hawaii. Big Kahuna's Pizza is awesome.
Nice Video JJ Good Topic 👍👍👍✌️🙏💪👌
Thanks for watching Pia
my 1 fear is false accusations which lould land u in prison for years till it comes to trial
Love this topic. Thanks for giving these realistic advice to foreigners planning on visiting the Philippines.
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Realistic? He lives in BGC which isn't like 99% of the Philippines.

Exactly. Well said. Thanks for watching.
It seems many bloggers don’t want to address specifics concerning Southwest Mindanao for fear of being called prejudice or some sort of “phobe”.
Very well said 👍
If you are a foreigner you can be targeted in cities or provinces, not necessarily in the far South.
It can be!
Who’s telling you that it’s dangerous?
I see TH-camrs saying these things
I was there and I had the "tax"...my fiance told me the people charged me twice the price
Yep, VERY common unless you shop in overpriced malls where prices are posted.
Yup, got scammed by the taxi too
I had a taxi driver try to get extra from me on top of the meter charge. He kept asking for more money, first it was the traffic, then it was the pay, finally he said it was his daughter's birthday. Sorry Kuya. Not my daughter.
Scammers are Everywhere my Friends
Yep, VERY common.
Taxi scams. Go to Bangkok and it will be the max.

It's always a good idea to go through a trusted attorney for any legal matters. Thanks for watching.

Yes, both common scams, in addition to bank accounts being drained as an inside job.
A person living in BGC telling you how safe the PH is. Let's see how safe you feel living in Pasay city or Mandaue city.

As in any city. Try living in New York, Chicago and New Jersey.
Use commonsense at all times.

It's called a cenomar.
That's right. A Centaur is a creature from Greek Mythology. 🤣 Thanks for watching.
Yup...my girlfriend had her phone stolen right from her hand
You're bad luck buddy.
VERY Common, also purses being cut with razors to steal the contents.
