U18 B BOYS
The Bs have played two games over the last week - against UU Tigers on 17 Oct and against Queens last night.
For half of Mark Galway’s B squad this season has seen their debut in competitive basketball - so every game is a test for the team.
Last Thursday we fell to a 41-91 loss to UU Tigers’ B team. Senan De Sanctis top-scoring for Phoenix with 18 points.
However a couple of days later we were advised by BNI that Tigers had played 4 ineligible players so we did receive a forfeit.
Things didn’t get any easier last night when the Bs played league favourites - Queens BC (their A team plays in the B league). A deep Queens side proved too smart and efficient for our guys and they took a 41-92 victory.
All great learning experiences for our Bs who look forward to their first away game of the season - against Poyntzpass Pumas on 8 Nov.
