The U18 B BOYS played game 6 of their 14-game league campaign at De La Salle against Ulster University Tigers Basketball Club B team.
Mark Galway’s squad put up a good fight in perhaps their best overall game and team performance to-date.
However the more physically dominant Tigers side proved difficult to stop at the offensive end throughout the game while Phoenix could never quite get their offence going.
The inevitable result of that combination saw a 75-54 Tigers win. Rory Henderson top-scored for Phoenix with 13 points while Tiger’s impressive No 27 T Sterett scored 23 points.
Games don’t get any easier for our 18Bs - who face second-placed Belfast Star on Friday at Newforge.
