Hi everyone, could you let us know how the audio sounds? I know there is about 1 minute of wind sound in the video, because the windshield was broken. Sorry about the bad experience. Other than that, does the rest of the audio bother your ear? It sounds normal for me. We always have been using Rode Wireless go for our audio. Hope you can share your experience with us! Thanks in advance!
Everything sounds good on my end. Thanks for the info. My clutch just went out on my 2016 Peterbilt 579. Hoping the shop gets it fix quick
Great video Ryan as usual. Keep them coming mate the info you are passing on to people is invaluable mate.
Fantastic video. I always wondered how my cheesy little plastic clutch alignment tool that I’ve used on pick up trucks go to work on a semi! That tool on the floor jack is epic. Thanks for sharing as usual
Thank you!! 👍
Great demo of the clutch
Thank you!
You might want to look at self-adjusting clutches again. I had one in an '03 Columbia I bought used from Ryder in '08. They put it when I bought the truck and it lasted me 8 years before I had to replace it (approx 80k mi/yr) and never had to adjust the clutch. Great content. I'm a recent subscriber. Other than a little wind noise, the audio sounded fine to me.
Thank you Bob.
A lot of great information, thank you!
My clutch just started messing up, about ever 8-10 uses of the clutch it doesn’t stop the spin so I can put it in gear, so far I just pump the clutch once or twice and it stops the spin and I can get it in gear. Will work just fine for about another 10 uses then has that same problem again. What do you think is wrong with my clutch? Hydraulic clutch so I was told it can’t be adjusted
Hi Ryan. I enjoy your videos. I have a question: I just blew out my clutch pedal yesterday as I was pulling into a Blue Beacon. I just pressed the pedal and "CRACK", the pedal ended up on my floorboard. I had to manually pull it back up, but when I push it back down, there it stays. Did I just blow out the cable maybe? The clutch and tranny were were working great up to that point. No slipping or anything. I have a 13-speed Eaton Fuller. Thanks for your help.
How often should the clutch be grease?
thank u for this channel & these videos
Our pleasure!
Question , I just had my clutch replaced and also fly wheel , rear main seal , clutch brake , clutch bearing , u joints , and rear engine mounts . The problem I’m having is when I get to 7 or 8th gear , with a full load , my clutch is popping out of gear , this is while I’m going up hill , is there a problem with clutch ? Do I have to adjust the clutch ? My engine is series 60 Detroit on 2005 freightliner century.
How much grease do you put in it? Will too much grease hurt anything?
Had a question is the Eaton 2250 worth the extra money or just go with the 2050 torque?
Will a bad clutch affect the say your truck performs/pulls
There’s a procedure on how break- In an Eaton 2050 clutch manual trans??
Where r u located
Do a video on replacement of the clutch brake
Thanks, I have a 579 2015 and my clutch suddenly had harder, what can it be
Great video!
Thank you Bill!
Hey appreciate the video but I have questions what if my truck shifts to 1 to 5 with no issues then trying to shift into 6th all grinding and not shifting is that a clutch issue or a transmission issue help please!!!
Transmission gears could be worn out.
can you do something about your sound? i have to turn the volume up to around 70 to hear you then its blasting when the music plays, thanks for making the videos and i can not wait to see videos when you have the shop up and running.
Sorry about the terrible sound experience!
Sounds good to me
Hello brother can you diagnose and fixed at the same time costumer truck or you only work, your personal???
We have a repair business. We can work on consumer trucks. Please check out our business www.foxtruckandtractor.com
Where you get them rubber gloves? Thanks!
Harbor freight
How much does a clutch kit cost. How much would a shop charge to replace.
$775, probably 16 hours labor at least. Overall probably $2500
FYI, the last few videos have been mono versus stereo sound... hope this helps
Thank you! The wind shield broke a few days ago. I think that might affected the audio.
Is it for sale yet
Not yet! Need to put the transmission and clutch back to the truck before selling it.
Any idea what would cause a terrible rattling noise in neutral? This clutch was just installed abd it sounds like nuts and bolts inside
Did the transmission get worked on? and does the rattling noise still there when you press down the clutch?
Thank you for the amazing content but for the love of God please invest in a good mic
Sorry about the bad audio experience.
@@truckingandfixing haven't noticed any prob with mic. maybe it's their speakers. HA
I finally figured out the issue, it was the the audio, when we bought the new audio recording device, it came with mono recording. So it was recorded mono for a while now. Only when you use the stereo speaker, you would notice the issue. Now I have changed the setting to stereo. The issue should have been resolved moving forward.

That clutch looks like it need to be replaced. What is your opinion on it's life span. This is used to 90% of it's life, time to go... or This clutch is at 50% of it's life and I will just put it back in for another 300,000 miles. Please???
It is getting close to its life span. I am going to replace the clutch. It is hard to say how many more miles it will last of I put it back! However, I am not replacing the clutch because it is bad. It is because I am doing the transmission job, it makes sense to replace the clutch as well.
truck clutchs are pull, not push,
It is opposite from the car or a pick up truck.
