I bought a "last call" Charger this year and have been very happy with it.
When I tell people that these are the last Chargers and Challengers that will ever be built, and that the cars are being re-released as EV's, they all roll their eyes and groan.
Thanks to your dad and the others at the plant who have made so many people happy.

Lifetime Mopar guy here (I'm 62 now; first exposure to one was the family '68 Monaco wagon as a kid!).
I've owned almost exclusively all Chrysler stuff in my life (currently, a '12 Charger R/T from Brampton and
one of the last Rams from the Fenton, MO plant ('04), both 5.7 hemi vehicles).
My toy is a 1968 Plymouth GTX named "Fred"; he's my ressurection project and a glory to behold.
Steph, your dad and his co-workers built our current Charger as well as the previous '06 R/T as well and
I've always bragged to people just how well the cars are constructed, so my heartfelt condolences go
out to you and your family - and THANK YOU Brampton family for doing such a great job!

@51AB Naa, it's because old/rich people can actually afford to cycle through them year after year when they strike a fancy. I have an 09 Challenger SE built in Brampton in March of 09 - 1 month before they changed the SE transmission from a 4-speed auto to a 5-speed auto. Currently leaking oil from the oil pan after I put a new one on it because I guess I didn't put it on correctly. Still runs, just leaks about a 2 quarts a week until the pan is empty.

Sorry for your loss. Your Dad would be really proud of you and good on you for your selection. Good choice of options and color.
FWIW, I worked at a few Chrysler dealerships in a management role for a decade before retiring. In 2014, I fell in love with a Orange Dodge Charger SRT8 that got parked in the show room, just outside of my office. That car came home with me and is sitting in my garage with only 6300 km on it to date. I keep a very tight leash on this car and it seldom, if ever, see's the streets and only at nightime and it has never seen snow or rain. It is possible that your Dad helped assemble this car.
In my years of experience, the quality from the Brampton plant was exceptional.
I will always have a special place in my heart for Chrysler.

One of the absolute best car videos that I’ve ever had the pleasure of viewing. Thank you so much for allowing us the pleasure to share in your memories of your father and all of the history of Dodge and the Brampton factory and its extended family. What they brought us has been the best damn cars that money could buy. It goes way beyond performance and numbers. Sure those things are great, but when you can get in one of those masterpieces, you can just close your eyes, press the button, and the magic begins. These cars just make you dream about being in the perfect place each and every time. Every ride is a special one. Your father and his colleagues brought us something that is very special and goes beyond gas and rubber. It’s about savoring something very, very special. That’s why I purchased my 2022 Challenger Scat Pack Widebody Skaker in Torred. I look forward to taking my wife and kids out and just put the windows down and listen to the exhaust notes. Nothing gives you that feel when that Hemi starts to hum. A beautiful video, very touching, and we’re going to miss these cars as well as the people who spent their lives making sure that anyone who drives and owns a Dodge knows that they have something special.

With nothing to fill the void, myself like most of my ilk are looking at GM and Ford to fill the bill. I wish Dodge was back instead of being run by Stellantis and smarter decisions where made to keep the customer base coming back tot he well. Alias that is not the case. I'm so sorry for your loss. Especially, when he was 1 year away from retirement. He must have been a great hard working guy to not only work there for so long but to be remembered in such high regard from other employees quite a few years later. It was great that you got such an amazing opportunity to see where he worked and drive a car off the line. That's a dream of any car guy even if family weren't there. But, the family aspect adds so much more to it. I don't know if I would have been smiling ear to ear or crying....or both over such an experience. One thing you failed to mention in your video though that is also really sad is that the future of those employees and even the entire plant are uncertain. Since, they are planning to switch production from hot selling muscle cars to EV's which don't sell well. It's likely that many will get laid off or the entire plant may close. Dodge as a brand might not even make it, more so for Chrysler since they are down to only a minivan. A newly established performance car brand that doesn't build muscle cars is not a good business plan. Especially, since their competition has no plans to stop building at least 1 muscle car. Plus, the fact that It's not possible for EV's to realistically be the future so Dodge will be the only American muscle car brand not building any muscle cars. Basically, giving sales away to any competition. I know as the year comes to an end employee morale is going to drop if it hasn't started already. GM and Ford are already losing money on EV's and are starting to slow production and slow plans on other EV's. Now that I've seen the faces of some of those people, it makes it that much more sad to see this happen. Stellantis taking over FCA has been the worst thing for Dodge. It was very nice of them to do what they did as tribute to your father. However, I'm really troubled by what Stellantis will be doing to these good hard working people. I'm sure most of them have families to support. Unless, they change their plans to build something that's not an EV, I don't think that plant will make it more than 5 more years. Anyways, thank you for posting this video showing us the plant and some of the great people that worked there.

Sorry for your loss. He must have been a remarkable guy. I've been driving since 1964, and I can't begin to count the number of cars I've owned, over the years. My 2011 Charger, which I bought new, is the BEST car I've ever owned, and I've owned them all, GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda. My Charger has almost 240,000 miles on it. I'll own it for the rest of my life. Thanks for this wonderful experience with your video. I've often wondered about the plant. The quality of the build on my Charger is awesome.

Great Video!! Awesome Tribute to your Dad and these great cars! I myself am pushing seventy and still own and probably always will a first year Chrysler 300C SRT8 that I waited 10 months for after ordering in February of 2005 at fifty years of age. She is typical Silver, loaded and has just 98600 miles. Now I have a connection to a hero that probably not only worked on but may even have been the first person to sit behind the wheel! Thank you! I love my Charger and I will keep it for years to come as long as it runs. I bought it when I was 24 years old, and now 16 years later it still looks and runs l great. Depending on the price of the new EV, I may purchase one, but many factors must be met before I decide for myself.

In 1999 I went to the Warren assembly plant in Michigan. I am a diehard Mopar fanatic and at the time was driving a truck built there. I showed up unannounced and wanted a tour. They explained that tours were by appointment only and for larger groups. I explained that I had driven all the way from Texas to see the plant. She told me to hang on. About 10 minutes later a gentleman showed up and said let's go. I received the red carpet personalized tour. Could not have imagined how cool that place was. Got to see the line in operation. It was the best vacation ever. The people there were so kind and accommodating. Received several souvenirs and tokens. I still have every one including my Warren assembly plant coffee cup and my button up dress shirt that I still wear on occasion with pride.

I just watched this & I am unbelievably sad. I don’t have a “lifelong” connection to Dodge; just my own personal dream. I never had the chance to own a Challenger until I finished nursing school at 58 years old. I bought my SXT, then traded up to the 5.7L R/T. While I’m so blessed to have some limited experience as an owner, it crushes me that I’ll never be able to own any of the top tier models, or be able to “build” my car. Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your dad’s story. What an honor. ❤

First let me say so sorry for you loss. Secondly I've had 2 challengers one purple one sublime and also a red Daytona Charger. Also now have my mom's 2011 Chrysler 300 after she passed earlier this year so I can relate to your loss. With that being said I had ordered a 2023 Jailbreak Charger redeye back in November of 22. it just sat in the order bank until Stellantis canceled it.. not happy .. So then I replaced that order with a regular Charger hellcat widebody in plum crazy. And now it still sits unscheduled. please build my car!! now, with my fear of not having a last hemi, I came across a 2023 Chrysler 300 C with the 392 one of 2000. so I pulled the trigger and bought that. Love It! so now in my garage is the 2011 300 (My mom's last car) and 2023 300C side by side. But I still want the hellcat. I wish I could please get in touch with Stellantis and have them please build my hellcat. And I do work for a Stellantis dealer in Pennsylvania and still am not confident I will get it. But I hope everyday when I log in that it goes into D status and gets built. Fingers crossed. this was Great story and hope I can add my hellcat to my story!

Thank you and your father for being a hard factory worker at Brampton, this is the true meaning of living the American dream and I totally agree with you most of those factory workers are the face of the automotive industry as they’re always working feverishly to get cars rolled of the assembly line. I’ve worked in the automotive industry for about ten years nine years at BMW dealership, one year at Cadillac. I wish I could afford at least a Hellcat but the reality is I can’t, since I work at Cadillac I’m driving a CT5-V and love it. I have a friend who works at CDJR, him and I use to work at BMW and we were just talking about how American customers are just so happy and filled with joy whenever they’re getting a sports car and with BMW sports car (M3, M4, M5, M6) it seemed like it was very transactional and no excitement as most of these affluent and rich customers have leased or owned so many of these European cars that it doesn’t bring them that joy of elation on their faces when they take delivery as compared to American Sports car. I loved your video it was very heart warming, almost teared up a bit, I loved how it was from start to finish when you ordered the car and then being at the assembly line, I was eyeing that red Chrysler 300 S, yeah some of those paint jobs are wild exotic and sexy and that’s what I appreciate from American brand being ostentatious. I feel like those factory workers have probably the best time out after work with each other having a beer and eating out after work, you can definitely see the friendliness and unity, that’s cool!. I’m disappointed that Stellantis wants to move in a different direction for the abandonment of the muscle cars, and going toward EV, I wonder if at some point in the future that the Dodge brand should bring back these vehicles as this was their bread and butter revenue producing inexpensive four door performance sedan vehicle. I think that’s absolutely awesome to purchase the vehicle and I’m sure your dad would be so proud of you making that decision!!

If they really do stop the 2024 assembly for the hellcat charger, I'll have to sneak my way in early next year to get one of these without the dealer markup...Also I feel sorry for your dad passing and you deserve the last masterpiece your dad used to built with his hand.

@williamcampenni2566, Dodge Hellcat cars are made in Ontario Canada, NOT in the USA and parent Corporation is Stellantis. No more Hellcats after 2023 in anything. Even the Hemi V8 engine will be gone.

I worked at the Faurecia Emmision Controls in Columbus, Indiana. I use to make the exhaust for the Chargers, Challengers, and the 300s. I worked there from Oct 2010 until Aug 2012. I own and drive a 12 black Challenger SXT. When I got it. I had them to put the car on a lift. And the exhaust system from the manifolds to the mufflers. Had my green paint mark on them. I won’t sell this car.

I wish Brampton can revive those classic Dodge models for the next generation of our time, like the Monaco, Intrepid, Nitro, Aspen, Omni, the Viper, the Avenger, Neon and then continue the Charger and the Challenger to welcome back to the brotherhood of muscle for our roots of the iconic Dodge models ever in our childhood history.

We know Yuri and Jakub quite well as colleagues, but they had no idea about the back story of the car when they drove it. Steph was pretty worried they were going to trash the colour scheme before they knew what was going on 😂😂😂

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your father. What a thrill for you to drive your "spec" car. I trust you have many special memories of this event. I watched this with a BIG smile on my face the whole way through. I drive a 2013 Dodge Charger SXT and love it. I'm hoping I can find a newer used one as my last car.
