My cousin is married to a ex body builder that won some competitions. The tanning is done to help their muscles show up even more. At least that is what he said to me when I asked him for help to build up body mass, I asked about that randomly. He also admits he hates it. But he does the tanning and a process called cutting made to lower the percentage of fat just to have the muscles how more. He gave it up when he became a father and started working as the job he went to university for, which was engineering. He still does lift but just to somewhat maintain his gains. But he definitely made sure to tell me he hated the preparations he had to do to get ready for competitions. Cheers!
My grandma was a body builder in the 70s, she says the tanning is because the lights from the stage during a show "wash out" their muscles. So tanning is supposed to make the muscles more defined on stage.

So I’m pretty sure that just because they are ripped doesn’t mean they are necessarily strong. Like he could barely lift her when she was in his back. Like bodybuilders and powerlifters have about the same physique but powerlifters focus more strength training. So if I HAD to pick a fight with anyone it would be the bodybuilder. Like I’d still get wrecked but probably not as much if it was someone who deadlifted 400 pounds.
My dad used to be a bodybuilder a few years ago. His now (psycho) ex-girlfriend was also a bodybuilder. The reason for the tanning is so that during competitions, the muscle and definition will be more visible to the judges. But in the couple in the video’s case, I think they just tan just to tan since they don’t look like they’re competing during the time of the video. Thankfully, my dad was not an overly cocky douchebag like the dude shown in the video.
People with BDD tend to hide their triggering body parts, not display it so proudly. They’re definitely obsessed and they seem to tie their self worth to their muscles though. If they got in an accident and were permanently forced to stop working out, it can cause suicide in cases like theirs

As a former weightlifter, one thing I learned is that as rebuilding those muscles those muscles are not usable muscles those are for pushing weights and especially people like that who go overboard and are doing it that often I mean I went 2 hours a day 6 days a week but those people are not! The people who are bodybuilding they can't use those muscles does muscles only have one purpose and that is to continue the same motions that they've been programmed for your body is like a computer and if you only program your muscles to do so many emotions that's all there going to ever be able to do! That's why I took and learned kickboxing and started going back and forth between weightlifting and Cardio so I was actually toning my body in addition to lifting. So to say that this guy could kick your ass is not necessarily true. He's not at that level yet where his body is hindered by big muscles but he's definitely getting there! I wouldn't be surprised if he was extremely slow so you can probably run circles around him and that would be a big Advantage for you!
The problem with fighting bodybuilders is not that they'll beat your ass, because I've demolished builders 100lbs heavier than me. They're dangerous because they're not used to having their ego as big as their biceps being crushed, so they're the type that will hit you in the back of the head with a brick when you turn around if you don't render them unconscious before you walk away.
Body building actually doesn't make you much stronger, if at all. There's been a few studies to prove that, and the strength they do have usually comes from muscle mass and not from the strength of their muscles. Their muscles are generally weaker than those who do not lift, and the mass is the only advantage they have in that case. Athletes have stronger muscles than body builders. Sometimes men who don't even train have stringer muscles than body builders as well. And before anyone says "haha you wouldn't want him punching you in the face now would you" I'm quite certain I'd rather not have anyone punch me in the face, and that technique/strategy is more important than muscle mass

It's usually training your muscles to do one repeated movement, so you onyl strengthen that movement, and don't become much stronger yourself. In a fight, they're much more likely to get hurt because of how overworked and weakened their individual muscle tissue is. They have a lot of mass because of repeated movement, but it makes your muscle tissue weaker, often making them more vulnerable/weaker
When it comes to practical use, I absolutely agree. Seen it happen. My bf just chops wood & works every day yet could do heavier work than his brother in law who works out & has pretty big muscles. It's like different strengths idk but I agree. I'm no scientist though

My dad used to be a bodybuilder a few years ago. His now (psycho) ex-girlfriend was also a bodybuilder. The reason for the tanning is so that during competitions, the muscle and definition will be more visible to the judges.
But in the couple in the video’s case, I think they just tan just to tan since they don’t look like they’re competing during the time of the video.
Thankfully, my dad was not an overly cocky douchebag like the dude shown in the video.

People with BDD tend to hide their triggering body parts, not display it so proudly. They’re definitely obsessed and they seem to tie their self worth to their muscles though. If they got in an accident and were permanently forced to stop working out, it can cause suicide in cases like theirs
Cats I know they don’t actually, but it stuck me when they kept saying that even though they view themselves as the most attractive couple they highly critique their bodies and point out that they think parts of them are fat.

They appear to have atleast some narcissistic characteristics, but that is literally all you can tell from this video. It's really horrible when people try and diagnose others. It's offensive to anyone who actually has those conditions or any mental health issues. Even a psychologist or psychiatrist, who are the only people who should ever diagnose someone, can't diagnose someone based off a video like that.

The tanning is for competition it makes you look more ripped and shows more definition
random person it’s good to do that to check your physique for competitions too. They do it pretty hardcore before shows too. Even athletes with darker skin get a lot of spray tan.

As a former weightlifter, one thing I learned is that as rebuilding those muscles those muscles are not usable muscles those are for pushing weights and especially people like that who go overboard and are doing it that often I mean I went 2 hours a day 6 days a week but those people are not! The people who are bodybuilding they can't use those muscles does muscles only have one purpose and that is to continue the same motions that they've been programmed for your body is like a computer and if you only program your muscles to do so many emotions that's all there going to ever be able to do! That's why I took and learned kickboxing and started going back and forth between weightlifting and Cardio so I was actually toning my body in addition to lifting. So to say that this guy could kick your ass is not necessarily true. He's not at that level yet where his body is hindered by big muscles but he's definitely getting there! I wouldn't be surprised if he was extremely slow so you can probably run circles around him and that would be a big Advantage for you!
The problem with fighting bodybuilders is not that they'll beat your ass, because I've demolished builders 100lbs heavier than me. They're dangerous because they're not used to having their ego as big as their biceps being crushed, so they're the type that will hit you in the back of the head with a brick when you turn around if you don't render them unconscious before you walk away.

Body building actually doesn't make you much stronger, if at all. There's been a few studies to prove that, and the strength they do have usually comes from muscle mass and not from the strength of their muscles. Their muscles are generally weaker than those who do not lift, and the mass is the only advantage they have in that case.
Athletes have stronger muscles than body builders. Sometimes men who don't even train have stringer muscles than body builders as well.
And before anyone says "haha you wouldn't want him punching you in the face now would you" I'm quite certain I'd rather not have anyone punch me in the face, and that technique/strategy is more important than muscle mass

It's usually training your muscles to do one repeated movement, so you onyl strengthen that movement, and don't become much stronger yourself. In a fight, they're much more likely to get hurt because of how overworked and weakened their individual muscle tissue is. They have a lot of mass because of repeated movement, but it makes your muscle tissue weaker, often making them more vulnerable/weaker
When it comes to practical use, I absolutely agree. Seen it happen. My bf just chops wood & works every day yet could do heavier work than his brother in law who works out & has pretty big muscles. It's like different strengths idk but I agree. I'm no scientist though
