Unpopular opinion but I find the Inquisitors rather generic, especially their helicopter lightsabers which are very silly and over the top. The only Inquisitor that I find acceptable is Trilla from Jedi Fallen Order.
I think the grand inquisitor is also good.

Not even unpopular i think the inquisitors suck too, i wish they kept the shadow guards, they were acctually skilled and intimidating since they do not talk, and the black royal guard armor with red visor and saber pike looks so slick.
design wise Shadow guards just fit so much more with the empire aesthetic in my opinion, and they could use a weaker form of force lightning which was pretty cool.
i wish they made the shadow guards canon instead of making the lame inquisitors, but too late now in canon the inquisitors serve the shadow guards role now.
@@isakisak9989 Those Shadow Guards in TFU just make's the Inquisitors look like incompetent morons. those guy's don't play around and they truly mean business when hunting down Jedi or anybody. I really liked their armors, helmets and lightsaber pikes, it make's them look truly royal to the Empire, as well as intimidating when they don't speak at all. If the Shadow Guards would've faced the Inquisitors in combat, they wouldn't even try with them. Ahsoka herself didn't even try with the Inquisitors, the Fifth brother was unbelievably easy to defeat in a fight, and the Seventh Sister get's humiliated by Ahsoka when she disarmed her lightsaber just by using her bare hands, love that scene.
I’d actually disagree I’d say that the Shadow Guards are roughly the same power as an Inquisitor or stronger cause the guard answered only to Sidious and the Inquisitor’s were mostly under Vader’s supervision, Sidious is a shrewd enough to have a contingency if Vader and the Inquisitors United and attacked him, and well the Shadow Guard can resist Starkiller’s force attacks and the last one can face down a battle fatigued Galen that can go toe to toe and even defeat Vader
Also, Vader probably trained Inquisitors to be unable to beat him. Even their lightsabers are meant to overwhelm opponents rather than the Inquisitors beat them through skill.

I think the shadow guards are stronger than the inquisitors because the inquisitors only demonstrated basic force abilities while the shadow guard could actually use force lightning and other dark side abilities. The inquisitors certainly could not contend with starkiller like the shadow guards did

The fact that so many Padawans and jedi were turned into inquisitors shows how weak the order had become.
Well I mean the Jedi order was already destroyed and lesser Jedi like padawans would be easy to manipulate
The dark side creeps in easier when one is captured or influenced when young. Notice how in Return of the Jedi Luke almost slipped against Vader. Now imagine if he was frozen in carbonite. Would've fallen like a rock down a hill.
We also have to take into account that Palpatine was immensely powerful with the force. Who would go against the thought that Palpatine could indoctrinate any average or below Jedi/Padawan within no time? The order indeed was weak but that is moreso because the order hadn't dealt with the Sith for a thousand years. Their training of resisting the dark side, especially physical dark side influence from another individual was...lackluster to say the least. Could be wrong on most of this but doubt.
I wonder if Inquisitors and Shadow Guards are the same. When Palpatine saw Vader's Guards, Palpatine might be unhappy with it, thinking his lackey is trying to outdo him. That's why Vader made them take off their armour.
No palpatine just doesn’t care about his gaurds cause he could do everything himself I’m pretty sure even as badass and dangerous as they are they are just for show to make palps not look like a threat

Just curious as to why you're including pictures of Carnor Jax in this video, the guard with the red and black armor with the double-bladed vibroblade. While Carnor Jax was a Force sensitive male, as far as we know, he was only in the Emperor's Royal Guard, not the Shadow Guard.
My headcanon places the guard being established and trained by Vader and the remaining inquisitors while Thrawn was tasked with locating the rebels (then based on the Yawst moon) after the Malachor incident. I don't believe the Lothal Temple excavation would have occupied Vader entirely, even with his Sidious's known habit of punishment by project supervision.
There would limited amount of guards at any one time, maybe six for each spoke on the imperial seal, with two being able to fight until a draw against the first brother/sister, three against the grand inquisitor and all combined would stand as the final contingent in the case of Vader's redemption. By the time of episode VI however, Sidious was confident that Vader would not turn, and as he would later prove, was naive enough to train Luke in contradiction with the rule of two. In any case, they would have been reformed.
Even if the sun guard or some variant thereof survived the clone wars, the scholarly Sith Lord would establish a reserve corp of prospective Shadow Guard would be institutionalized much like Vaylin at the Nathema Sanitarium. These pupils would be located by scout-cultists of the sun guard remnant, sanitized and sedated until a Guardsman was killed. These would be selected after force-sensitive Red Guards or, in extraordinary circumstances, novice inquisitors.

I think I shadow guard just buy sheer force could take a padawan depending on how advanced the padawan was. Like Asoka no way she would mop the floor with them. But lesser padawans definitely would get smashed just by sheer force.

I do find it funny that the inquisitors are regarded as being efficient at what they do, yet almost every one of them was dispatched by someone who was pretty relatively weak. I also wouldn't give them too much credit, inquisitors were absolutely overrated considering all they've ACTUALLY accomplished.
Cartoons for children, but remember they really can't show children the true horrors of war. As for table top RPG, my shop nearly ran Star Wars as more of a war drama game like the Alien movies, nearly always a TPK.
Now if only Dave Filoni brought these guys back into canon, the trick question is where, when and how.
Seeing as the only ones with knowledge of the shadow guards would be the Emperor and Darth Vader.
And it would be well above the Inquisitors pay grade to even know about them.

Shadow Guard would decimate the average Jedi. They can resist Galen Marek (Starkiller)'s force powers effortlessly, and make THE EMPEROR'S GUARDS look pathetic in comparison. They are without a doubt some of the most powerful force users in the galaxy. I mean for christ sake they resist Starkiller's force powers, which ended up defeating DARTH VADER and almost THE EMPEROR. Now perhaps they heavily excel in defense but the dark side isn't about defense. It's far more about offense.
I agree and no the emperor wasnt affected star killer is no where near the emperor as stated in the guide the emperor was holding back and let starkiller beat him but starkiller is above normal luke and rotj luke normal starkiller starkiller at his full potential is above palpatine

Shadow gaurds&shadow troopers are NOT the same thing as I own both TFU & TFU2 aswell have 2 force unleashed lego sets one comes w 2 shadow gaurd w saber pikes and 2 w blasters looking like graphite troopers , the box says , shadow gaurd&shadow trooper battle pac also a set w galen juno & defeated vader

I hope We get some of this depicted in The Bad Batch, somewhere...Clone Force 99 has to, at some point, encounter a Jedi or Force-user who's on the run, and gets attacked and taken down by one of these Shadow Guards...just like I hope We get to see a Jedi Shadow (hopefully one who helped keep some of The Jedi Order alive, inc. Baby Grogu). I hope We encounter a Dark Jedi, like in The EU. I wonder if The Emperor ever sent Lord Vader to Kamino, after The Clone Wars?

Respectfully, I do not believe that there is necessarily enough evidence to prove that shadowtroopers and the shadow guard are one and the same. They may be, but as for me, I think I would require more evidence.
I don't think inquisitors can use force lightning at least i am not sure if they can.Also i like the quisitors and the shadow guards.
ShadowGuards or Imperial Royal Guards could use ⚡ and powers like Sith repulse/Sith seeker they are in The Force Unleashed II video game as an enemy type. Theory is they're Jedi Knights that have been turned into DarkSide Users.
Or stander enlisted that survived a few campaigns and shown to be force sensitive, then sent for more training.
I'd say shadow guards could only be defeated by certain Padawans.
Hello Stupendous Wave my man! Can you do one on Darth Vader's personal guards? If he had his own unique guards, which I think he deserves like several others: Palpatine and his Royal (Shadow) guards, Grievous and his Magnaguards, Snoke and his Praetorian guards, ect. I've been unable to find such characters in Star Wars and was interested if you knew?
I thout that darth VADER had he's Commander droids that he stole from and used to take out he's fows those droids where part of he's secret army and some of them even he's guard as I recall.
Old EU Legends, the Emperor in basic had Vader kill anyone he starts to get close to, which Mara Jade told Luke.

I think whether the shadow guards are stronger than padawans would vary on the padawan. Ahsoka near the end of the clone wars, could best them.
the padawan would win simply because the saber-pike isn't well suited to light saber duels.
Saber- pike is made from Mandolorian iron, hence light saber resistance. The metal cap end also deploy electric shocks. Shadow Guard armor was electric insulated against attacks or glancing blow from a stun staff.
In table top RPG, we treated Shadow Guard as advance scout troopers that are Force Sensitive , the force skill: Force Stealth= bonus to move silent and hide skill checks. Which Mara Jade was skillful enough at a teenager she could shadow Lord Vader, hiding in the pale of his darkside aura . Opposing skill check rolls of Force Stealth vs Detect/ See Force.
We also treated them as a bunch of cocky bastards that were always running their mouths under their helmets talking smack.
Yeah, .. think Deadpool. Social skill: Performance ( comic ) or Intimidation ( bully/ talking smack): even if it is just one rank.
They are Sith cultist and assassins. Key trait was to drive a force user/ Jedi into anger, if that didn't work, kill the Jedi. Other than open combat as in a video game, they shadow you and Force Choke grip you bit by bit to slow your reflexes by range attacking your joints letting you know you are being stalked. Sending small doses of telepathic Fear your way to see if you panic or not. Then come out of the near by shadows for a single saber cut only to disappear into the darkness. Their helmets provide night/ dark infra red vision, so they have no problem in knocking out the lights.
Example:
Luke, " Are you trying to scare me, trip me up, or train me ?"
Shadow Guard sends a single mental though word, " Worthy ?"
Luke, " Worthy of or for what ?"
S.G." Emperor "
Luke, " Oh, I'm .. Worthy alright !"
S.G." Oh, .. just please, .. stop while you are behind." maybe with some laughter echoing within the other's head. Or a long drawn out sigh.
By all appearance they just stand there silently without a word, but send telepathic thoughts & empathic remarks till a person flies of the handle cursing back at no one in view.

They're not the most powerful of force users but if they can generate lightning ⚡ they must at least have a fairly decent amount of force potential I think what holds them back is that saberpike should've used either a double blader or Jar Kai with two blades
They are powerful just not as strong as a sith lord
The thing is they were able to use purple force lightning. Palpatines lightning….not even Dooku could do that. 😰
