  • I launched my book Atomic Note-Taking: The Ultimate Zettelkasten Guide!
    Get it at: www.atomicworkflows.com/atomi...
Interested in learning User Experience Design? I'm creating a new book and course:

In this video I explore Google's new NotebookLM to test what it does and how well it performs by uploading by book Atomic Note-Taking, then asking it questions about the topic.

I really like that this gives you citations. I have a pile of papers that I don't really want to read, as they "might" be relevant, but I don't want to spend an hour reading each one of them. For academic research, references and citations are vital. Currently ChatGPT can summarise things, but in my limited experience so far, the citation mechanism isn't quite good enough. And to mis-quote a source (or to quote a hallucination) can be very bad indeed. So I like the concept... but I'm so hesitant to use a Google product, with their history of abandoning projects.
Thank you for creating this video, and sharing your knowledge!

Yes, exactly. I was very curious to test this out with my Zettelkasten notes but I couldn’t find an easy way to insert them.
The hallucinations in ChatGPT was shame as I was hoping it could point me to new material to read, but turned out it just made it up.

I am very interested in NotebookLM, but this video is really only about promoting your book.
You do not even give a link for NotebookLM.
Are your future videos going to be more of the same?

All fair and valid points, thank you.
Agree, I should have remembered to link to it, I will add that when I get the chance.
As for future videos, the short answer is yes the book does feature as a topic of content while explaining something related. Yes, it is both convenient, and also helps promote the book. This will not always be the case though when I find what’s the right thing to focus on next.
I take your feedback seriously and thank you for sharing.

@@Martin_Adams Links to the book would be useful... as for links to Google Notebook LM... odd, perhaps the commenter might use, er, Google to find their own links, no?

@@Martin_Adams - My apologies - I was very harsh. I too am a non-fiction author and so I know how difficult it can be to get the message out.
Perhaps you could share how you use Ai for copy editing and proof reading, or some other related tasks?
      Keep up the good work!!
