Has anyone had experience with these in rainy or icy conditions? From the website and video, they seem extremely slippery when wet or icy. Does water accumulate anywhere? I’ve noticed that people sometimes stand on the end caps to either reach the bed or clean the windshield. Has anyone had these break under that kind of pressure? I love the low-profile look, but as someone with an engineering background, I have some concerns. (I’m considering them for my Ram truck.)
@@mack9527 mine do not flex at all and yes, I have the newer style HD2 now. They probably remade these to have the plastic ends. On my first ram they were the one peace and man they are heavy but I feel like they were more heavy duty compared to these ones. I like these ones more with the plastic ends on them due to weigh and they are easier to coat. I highly recommend that you should do as well is coat them with Bedliner spray. The original coating on these are not so good. These are worth the money and they are by far the best running boards I like the most on our ram trucks.
I wish the instructions said something about bolts before putting the end caps on. Or at least my brackets were labeled telling me where they go.
What is the actual weight of the whole assembly?
I received my kit and was missing a lot of parts and hardware but i contacted them but now i gotta wait ….
Mine arrived today for my 2024 ltz 2500
