Personal Experience: I had this sander for years, used it occasionally for woodworking proyects until I started a wall texture business where it was my primary sander for many many projects sanding microcement walls for HOURS. It’s unbelievable reliable.
After a while I upgraded to the bosch 6” sander “rotex” and the little B&D is still in the shop working flawlessly.

Glad I saw this. I bought the Dewalt right angle driver. At one point, I needed to get into a really tight spot. I had to just use the bit itself.
This driver does NOT allow the top of the bit to stick out enough to get a good hold on the screw.
I purchased the Milwaukee right angle driver and it allows the entire head of the bit to stick out when you only can use it without the bit holder inserted into the driver.

I made my own thin rip jig and it's great to have. I had a little wheel bearing left over from a different project, and I borrowed one of the miter track lock-down thingies from the feather board I'd made, since I won't be using both at the same time. It filled an immediate need without waiting for Amazon or spending a dime, but the store-bought one could be worth your dime and time -- this jig can be really useful.

I have just brought the evolution R210+ sliding mitre saw, the set up of the blade was on target!! 89.97 degrees right angle, l have been impressed, fitted together very easily, with extras' saw stops, clamp's bought off Amazon, the blade only tilts on one side, that's the only downside, the mitre saw turns left and right, l will be changing the blade for a wood blade 60 tooth + but l will keep the multi-blade that came with it, l do not saw metal, masonary or plastic but it might at some point come in handy. It is a Bargain choice £156, a good DIY tool [semi-pro] without breaking the bank.

Where do I find these "tubafors" you're always talking about?
I got a set with the DFM Triangle and Square as a factory second recently. I'm not sure what's wrong with them since they look just like the regular ones and are square, but you might keep an eye out.
I use the Grr-ripper push blocks, but I also like the drop foot style on the Milescraft GrabberPLUS. I think it's good to have a wide variety of push blocks and sticks.
As for the magnetic trays - I recommend circular ones instead of rectangular. With the rectangular the magnet does not fill up all the space of the tray and if you use them hanging off of a wall you are likely to drop screws more often.

I got the Incra V27 last year and man, what a difference. I added a Powertec extruded aluminum fence that has T-track all over it and a scale across the top. I rarely use my cross-cut sled anymore.
I have the Woodpeckers Delve square and the little square and while, yeah, I spent more than those DFM squares go for, I too use both of them all the time. To anyone who doesn't have either of these squares, get them. Woodpeckers, DFM, whatever, you will find them to be one of the handiest tools in your shop.

    • @731Woodworks

    Howdy Mr. 731...
    Great video!!!
Question: With that first tool, the square, do those pegs come with it?
Also...and totally off subject. Watching this video literally gave me a flash back. I mean really, I was stunned. In my mind, I always wondered what it was about you...your looks, your words, your mannerisms...something just always kept me tuned in with what you were saying. Well, it FINALLY dawned on me and I mean it was a ton of bricks that hit me.
Back in High School, I excelled at 3 subjects. Woodshop. Math. Science. Straight A's. Was just natural to me.
"""YOU""" Sir Matt are the spitting image of my FAVORITE Science teacher. His name was Mr. Button. 😊 I mean, yall 2 could be brothers, though he's probably twice your age now. I believe it was Physical Science, the science of how and why things work. He made that class fun. He was a bit goofy but serious at the same time. He covered up the clock on his classroom wall with a piece of paper that read "Time to pay attention" (we didn't have cell phones back then, you wore a watch).
THATS why I relate to your videos so much. You make things fun and interesting, just like He did. It must have been embedded in my physique and only just now did I realize it.
    Wow!!! Flood of memories.
    Thanks Matt!!!

Love the videos and the tools. One clarification. It’s not flush trim, a.k.a. Pattern bits. Flush trim and pattern are two different things. Bearing on the end is flush trim, bearing between the cutter and the shank is a pattern bit. I’ve been in production shops where the clear communication really matters.

@@731Woodworks That's a relief. Could you imagine your entire life and TH-cam business turned upside down in a minute by a tornado? I couldn't. Out here in NY, 70 miles north of New York City, we rearely get weather events that are devastating. Superstorm Sandy was the last one, but only for people in low lying areas. When I was young, and we lived in an apartment near a river that almost got flooded, I learned a lesson. "Never live by water that can flood". A couple times we had small tornados that took down some trees, but that was all.

When ripping thin strips why dont you do this.....make the first rip then take that piece and put it between the workpiece and the fence. Now the workpiece has moved by the width of the thin strip so the next rip will result in an identical thin strip. Repeat til you have enough strips.
