Great movie but i didnt understand that part. Mom leaves, sisters leave, then brothet leaves and NONE of them think to bring her? The youngest one. Only part that didnt make sense.

sooo this is not how imagined the movie at all.. read the book and loved it but the adaptation is lacking.. I feel they could have studied the characters a bit more.. even the plot as well. I really did like the book, but the movie is a no for me.
When you read the book you use your imagination what the characters should k look like the movie takes care of that so the book is more imagination oriented yes they should of sticker together
I feel like if she embraced the moment when her dad gives her that sling thing he would of stayed. Not saying he was a good person or would have changed but you see he for once tried to connect with her and give her something of his from the war for her collection but she ran to get the mail hoping it was from her mom, who he hated. Hes a piece of shit and everyone leaving is justified but idk why i felt for him in that slight moment when he did that.
Kya is a horrible child and all the family knew but us. Her mom not turning back when leaving the house and never showed up, She is a selfish killer praying mantis. I hate her for killing chase like his mom does and living happily after the injustice is served. I am happy it's only a book or movie. As a boy myself I am angry that this naive chase jerk still wearing the necklace.

When she found out she was lied to, again, she was lied to. She thought she could be finally happy. But no. Her dad was a violent one, so everyone left. She mentions it, everyone just disappear. She was alone all her life living in fear of her dad and his violence. Chase did not stop seeing her. He shows his violent nature when he came to her house looking for her, with his violent scream, kicking, breaking things, breaking everything she love in her house, he tries to rape her, to claim her like she’s his toy, strangle her. He never respect her. He trash talking about her to his friend. He laughs at her passion. He felt embarrassed in front of his friends that she declined him, run away from him, so he feels the need to reclaim this human toy. She was hiding, but he keeps coming back, being violent to her and breaking her house, so nowhere is safe now. The fear of living on tiptoe with her father haunts her. Now, Chase brings that fear back into her life. She can’t be in the house where he can find her. Obviously being afraid for every second of the day, hiding behind the bush. She knows the only way she can live is “the prey have to die.” The girl who was left behind, living in fear of violence, was disrespected and lied to, now take matter in her own hands. I don’t blame her. He would be fine if he just leave her alone likes she asked. But he is a freaking jerk who would always bring her harm if she doesn’t obey. He deserves that. And I am glad she is finally safe. As a boy you feel for this jerk, it only shows your nature. Keeping this necklace shows nothing of love due to all his bazaar actions. He doesn’t love her. That’s not love. He only love himself. He only cares about his needs and his status.

Yes, a little lacking on the depth of her character which affects the sympathy for this character. But overall, the message is clear.
