The human race stands on the brink of extinction as a series of alien attacks decimate the planet, causing earthquakes, tsunamis and disease. Separated from her family, Ohio teenager Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz) will do whatever it takes to reunite with her brother Sam. Fate leads her to form an alliance with Evan Walker (Alex Roe), a mysterious young man who may be her last hope. i think earthquakes are, even though they’re kinda fun, but you cannot predict when it’s gonna happen and what the magnitude is, and sometimes it’s followed by other natural disasters like tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, etc.

@@TommyTom21 No, your commercial jets use hydraulics with electric valves and pumps, lose them and you can't use the control surfaces to guide the plane. Some craft, not many have a backup way of computer using the engines to steer the plane without control systems; engine accelerate to nose up, de-accelerate to nose down, asymmetric power to steer left and right... but of course if that too is fried by "the aliens EMP" well you're pretty much going to do what you saw. So don't fly when there is space alien invasion with EMP weapons 8D
@@TommyTom21 actually, it could. depending on its wing lift and attitude when the emp hit. if it was in a nose up landing approach( which that one had to be, otherwise falling from cruising altitude, it would have ripped apart already) then loss of engine and control would lead to a stall, followed by a loss of lift, and a rollover to whichever side has less lift
Little fact: the crash was inspired by a 2013 crash in Afganhistan in which a Boeing 747 stalled and crashed the same way due to movements in the cargo hold damaging the tail section

Actually people standing still waiting to die would be what millions if people did, because they would be so scared they wouldn't be able to move. Its the fight or flight response, however there's a third option. Fight, flight, or freeze. Its when fear is so powerful you lose all motor functions of your body basically

I like that they showed London. People usually assume that you'd be safe from something like this if you're not on the coast, but tidal bores would wreck anywhere that had a large enough river or canal. Speaking from a UK perspective, the entire North East would probably be wiped out by the Tyne and Wear, and Liverpool would definitely be gone, possibly Manchester too if the bores on the Mersey are strong enough to reach the Irwell.

@@derblattspinat6929 there is no pure mechanical way of steering an aircraft of that size, with an EMP all electronics die, so will the pumps for the hydraulics do.
The tipping to either side will be like having a fat kid on one side of a teeter (?) and a scrawny one at the other, but the aircraft was in balance due to the flight control system that leveled out the aircraft. With that gone and no way to steer, it will crash.
