    This is one of my favorite places in the country! Plus the SKY Breath Meditation practice that is taught in the Art of Living Retreat changed my life. I found it when I was going through depression and suicidal ideation as an undergraduate student at Ohio State and it really brought me out of that low place in my life. I still practice the breathing every day and it's been 6 years. I am so much happier now than I was 6 years ago. Really great program!

    I’ve been to the retreat center a few times and it has always been such a serene & rejuvenating experience. And yes, the $600-$700 has been for my entire 5-7 days stay- which included everything - lodging, ayurvedic toiletries, delicious healthy meals and so much love!

      600 to 700 is good id rather do that instead of being stuck in therapy for the rest of my life

    I’m glad that NBC is covering this story. It is a beautiful place to go visit. The programs taught there are the cherry on top.
    I have personally experienced the benefits mentioned like stress relief, and overcoming guilt and shame from past experiences. The techniques I learned have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.
    I love the way the programs are structured. Easy to follow yet very impactful for anyone looking to take control of their mental health.
    Being a small business owner I have offered this to my associates and colleagues and have seen very many positive experiences.
    I would urge that this be made a standard education practice in schools, colleges and work places. If we can learn to manage our minds and emotions then we can positively impact others around us. That will be the world I’d love to live in and leave for my kids.

    I have experienced peace, tranquility and natural beauty at this place which is comparable to none other ! The programs here have offered me a chance to experience the depth of meditation, the purity of human connection and the joy of service. $700 over 7 days to take care of your mental, emotional and physical health- that’s a deal !

    SKY Breath Meditation taught by the non-profit Art of Living foundation is life transforming! I am glad I was open minded to try it out. I was blown away by the experience. We cannot escape stress in this era. And we need a tool that’s consistent, fool-proof, efficient, time sensitive, immediate results. I am getting all of it in the daily 20mts SKY practice. Thank you for your efforts to bring these tools to people, community and the world!

    I have been to this beautiful retreat center twice and I absolutely loved it. The energy at this place is next level.
    I personally would like to save up and invest in my mental health. I did the SKY program and I follow the my practices every day.
    I highly recommend to do the program, if you cannot afford the program or the stay, it is still a great place to visit and just be by yourself.
    Peace ✌

    This is a fabulous place! I’ve personally been there several times.
    The $600 to $700 is for entire multi-day program and stay not just a night. That includes multiple healthy meals, overall a fabulous experience that’s very reasonably priced.
    I’ve taken my entire family for this experience multiple times over the years and my kids have loved every visit there. And talk about savings in medical bills, coz 0 stress = great health!!!
    Go and enjoy this experience without a second thought.

    What was old is New again. I remember back in the late '80s and early '90s where there was a plethora of people pushing their own versions of how to escape stress. I even believe there was a movie made about one of these characters whose idea was to have people get down on all fours while punching the carpet and screaming at the top of their lungs. I imagine it led to a lot of sore knuckles and massive amounts of money into other people's hands. 😂😂

      Dear No Name,
      The program being talked about here is how to live with stress each and every day, but to have it affect your mind and body less. Many, many thousands of people around the world use the simple techniques that are taught.
      The cost given in the interview was for the whole program and stay including all meals; she just mispoke

    Such types of Western life and the value of meditation cannot escape from existing ones. The best way for mindfulness is to learn Seon Buddhism of Korea (not Zen, the word is Japanese) and it also saves your time and energy that might be unnecessarily put into those practices seen on the screen. I am serious and good luck from Korea.

    $700 per night? I'll give the healthcare workers and the Surfside guy a pass, but it just looks like more entitled pampering to me. Most people who could afford that don't know the meaning of stress.

    • @vamshidharrao3714
      @vamshidharrao3714 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I think that’s a mistake. It is not $700 per night to stay there. I think the whole 3-4 day weekend package costs that much. I think staying or lodging costs are like $70-100 per night, which is average cost for any decent hotel. The mental health program costs extra, like any mental health or professional development program would cost. It’s true that many can’t afford it, that’s why insurance companies should cover mental health retreats too. It’s high time to move towards preventive healthcare. I don’t think taking care of your mental health with evidence based practices is pampering.

      I’ve also seen this organization conduct free programs for returning veterans, prisoners and for kids from underprivileged schooling systems. They’ve offered several workshops & services for free during the last 2 years for healthcare operators.
      The amount stated in the video is a mistake, I know this personally since I have attended these awesome programs at this facility many times.

    • @beetoven8193

      @@AvinashKeswaniJGD @Avinash Keswani To para-quote recent statistics, some 25% of Americans have no emergency funds at all, 50% have less than $400 to meet a financial crisis. You say you've attended many times? I wish I had your money.

      I was just remarking on the inequality in America. I don't know enough to criticize the program, but I used to live in Asheville and am familiar with a sort of elitist and pseudo-scientific aproach to all things mental/ spiritual healthcare in that area. I hope it's a good program.

    • @beetoven8193
      @beetoven8193 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@vamshidharrao3714 That's still a lot of money for most Americans. But I agree that covered mental health options need to be expanded.

    • @vamshidharrao3714
      @vamshidharrao3714 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@beetoven8193 yes, I agree that some Americans would not be able to spend like that. That’s why we need more policies to support every American who wants to take care of their mental health through preventive methods. Some Government incentives, insurance covering it or something in those lines. I know many universities fund students to take such programs on their campus like the SKY Campus happiness program.
