4:55 actually if yoy look up the powerband of the R6 vs the R1, the R1 is much smoother, the reason you feel like its a touchy throttle is because it has damn near 80hp more than the R6. 75% of the R6's power comes only after 7000 Rpm....
@@MADLITS1K I have this same bike and the orange is anything but cheap and tacky. It has a beautiful sparkle to it. Even the black on the tank and rear fairings have a tiny bit of sparkle, quite unique
I mean in Australia at least the ducati does cost 18/19% more but with the Panigale V2 it does come with a nice display, up down quickshifter, 6-axis IMU, wheelie control, sachs dampers and funnily enough its more fuel efficient and if you're enviro-conscious its Euro 5 compliant.
I was torn between the new zx6r and the r6. It was insanely difficult but I went home with the r6 because I couldn’t get over the snapping turtle face on the zx6r. I will admit, I would like a tad more power down low but lord does it punch and sing up top
The reliability of the kawai engine scares me. A lottttt more engine issues seem to be reported in the newer zx compared to r6. Given its more than $2000 cheaper than the R6 despite having more power as well makes me think kawa cut corners on components
i don't like orange as much but it's the only color by me lol. So how do the different modes work, does one of the modes make it more enjoyable for street use?
I commute 20 min each way and it's fine. It's my first bike and wasn't exactly comfortable at first but I've adapted and learned proper technique for sportbike riding.
Dude you can use any motorcycle for your daily commute because its YOUR bike' you can do whatever you want to use it for' real question is can you physically endure it? You're the one who's gonna have to adjust to that riding position.
In my opinion zx6r and gsxr are the most comfortable 600’s out of the main 4 manufacturers. At the end of the day go to a dealer and sit on all everyone’s built different
I road mine on the interstate to and from work. It's not the most comfortable for tall riders as my knees would start to hurt after about an hour. (I'm 6' 3").
Suggestion. Please leave details about throttle response clutch and shifting and vibrations at freeway speeds in your reviews. I learn almost nothing about what it’s actually like to ride a bike from your review.
Dude I took my 2016 r6 on a 990 mile round trip - and I was beat ‘ sunburned’the whole package was done to me lost my glasses mirrors flew off and everything
Didn't even hit 10k rpms lol? You were talking about powerband but I don't think you ever got to it, at least not in the video. My 750 doesn't open all the way up till like 8k and it goes to 16k. You most definitely should have pushed it harder if you really wanted to know what the bike got. I guess what i mean is "I wish you would have rode the bike to its full potential so I could make a decisive decision on this bike."
I want one so bad, it would be my first bike but I dont want to buy another one then that one. Is it comfortable for a 6'3 guy.. i like my yamahas though lol and that cor scheme 🤣
Woah, wait right there. You should consider a smaller cc bike so you can learn better and not care as much when you drop it. You will be able to push the bike hard instead of being scared every time you twist the throttle on the r6.
The bike will kill you if you don't take it slow. Keep it under 6-7k rpms unless on a straight with great visibility and without any intersections. Start by practicing shifting smoothly and leaning properly. Understand countersteer. Look where you want to go, not at obstacles and don't look at your display too often, keep your eyes on the road. Learn to follow the "racing line", even when riding slow. Learn how idiots drivers behave on the road(they really are a huge hazard, you don't want to push your limits around them). Always ride like no one can see you. By that, I mean that you should always expect cars to be lunatic waiting to cut you off. You can definitely learn on a 600cc supersport, but don't be overconfident, it is easy to lose control of that beast. Only when you mastered all this should you focus on speed. You don't want to end up in a wheel chair for the rest of your life.
600cc super sport isn’t ideal for a first time rider but definitely manageable if you at least take a safety course. If you’re planning on teaching yourself with literally no knowledge lmao better buy two cause that first one is getting looped
You didn’t push it like a r6 owner would normally push it to its potential . You were cruising 😂! I get it cops were around along with the wind 🌬 but still it’s not a good enough excuse to not let us hear the roar of the engine past the 10k mark even on first gear. Do better next time 😉
@@theprofessionaldillweed6235 fair enough, if they cant see a traffic cone coloured r6 coming they'd have to be blind though and we all no plenty of car drivers are blind haha. Here in Australia the police will give you an on the spot fine for driving with your highbeams on as it causes distraction. I see your point though. Say safe and have fun
@@theprofessionaldillweed6235 wow thats crazy. Aussie cops would go nuts for that and would place a 'defect' notice on the car and it could no longer be driven untill a fine was paid and the light bar was removed. They go way overboard here. Keep it shiny side up mate.
I just picked mine up yesterday . It’s extremely aggressive and this is my first “real” bike.
Yamaha going to a KTM costume party

Would look better if they did the tank in orange also. Thanks for the review
I agree.. not sure if it’s the camera since I haven’t seen this color in person but the orange kinda looks cheap and tacky just my opinion
At first i thought erm naa but then I see what u mean would be the finishing touch.
primo sparazza gotta see this bike in person, looks perfect, wouldn’t change a thing, besides maybe paint matching the wheels, bike looks amazing

That R6 display is sooooo 2009... You would think with all the technology in today's Era they would update it to a nice display like the Ducati
Italians do have those nice displays. They look great on the side of the rode broken down as I pass them on my Yamaha👋🏽
I regret getting an R3 as my first... but ill make an upgrade when I get most of the R3 paid off!
Im looking to get my first bike , would you say a r6 is fine ? I’ve riden dirtbikes my entire life so have experience with bikes and clutch
I find my R6 to be more comfortable then my CBR 1000rr was. Nice review.
I would choose the Kawi ZX-6R for slightly more comfortable ergos, more low/mid range punch and those extra 36 CCs (actually 37)
I was torn between the new zx6r and the r6. It was insanely difficult but I went home with the r6 because I couldn’t get over the snapping turtle face on the zx6r. I will admit, I would like a tad more power down low but lord does it punch and sing up top
Definitely. The 6R is the best middleweight supersports for the streets.
R6 looks badass.

Which is more comfortable with good first gear out of the 600cc's? Between Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha.
Honda

Still having fun on an r6 🙋♂️
Cool vid, job well done👍🏽 Been looking at a blue ‘20 R6, but I actually like the black & orange!🏍🔥💯
In your perspective, could I use an R6 for daily commute purpose?
I own a 2020 R6. You can commute but you better have some upper body and leg strength.
I did 50,000km on mine so yea just depends how long you can sit like that
I commute 20 min each way and it's fine. It's my first bike and wasn't exactly comfortable at first but I've adapted and learned proper technique for sportbike riding.
I have same R6 and for long rides it’s very uncomfortable! For commuting I recommend you any of the MT series!

Out of the 600s 2020 models which one is the most comfortable to ride for a big guy from top to bottom?
In my opinion zx6r and gsxr are the most comfortable 600’s out of the main 4 manufacturers. At the end of the day go to a dealer and sit on all everyone’s built different

do u think i should get a yamaha r6 and lower it a inch and a half or a gsxr 600?
Personally, I’d go for the R6 over the GSXR but I am a little biased when it comes to Yamaha :)
