I've got the X3 Plus and it's been a good machine so far. The only problem I've had with it is the 4GB sd card corrupted, but the test models on the card still work. Artillery said that you can use up to a 32GB card as long formatted in FAT32. You will find 2 things interesting with the bed. It has 6 leveling adjustment wheels instead of 4. Also the bed is solid mounted to the trolly in the center with 2 screws and spacers. Artillery has explained why this was done and it is to stop the bed from sagging in the middle when heated up. Makes sense because of its large bed size and magnetic bed. Also at 300mm/s the bed would ever so slightly whip, with just springs and ruin a print if not solidly mounted. The XYZ end stop switches are magnetic proximity switches and not mechanical like on an Ender.
I am currently working on SW X3 Plus and I wonder whether Artillery will release its nozzles for these printers or whether I will have to look for other manufacturers. If you have good contact with the company, you would try to get such information, but I am not lucky enough with their employees or they do not have such information.ideo,

@LoyalMoses works great too! I'm trying to find a good approach for modifying existing stl files. I'm thinking maybe blender. I'm still new to all this
I myself have bought the X3 Plus. While its speed is astounding, quality of prints is great and user interface is quite user friendly. The bed is what triggers me a little, the pom wheels are not tight at all and there is no way to tighten them without disassembeling half of the printer, so basicaly after every print I have to retighten the eccentric nuts.
It's just the bed size that is killing it for me. Does it really cost that much more to go from a 256x256 to a 300x300 (or Helmet class) printer instead to take it to a smaller 240x240 sized bed and try to make it an attractive price? Granted, 99.9% of most things I ever print would fit on this without issue, it is just the thought of having to cut up a model to print and then glooping it back together. Will we see a comparison on this vs the A1 vs the Creality Ender 3?
I believe it does, I’ve been told that the largest cost is on the Y, then X, then Z. Don’t worry though, they already have larger X3s for $100 more I believe, and wait until you see what’s coming! 🔥

"I purchased the Sidewinder X1 3D printer in 2020, and it has served me well. However, I am now looking to buy a smaller printer, and I am considering both the Sidewinder X4 and the Ender-3 V3 KE. Before buying the Sidewinder X1, I owned an Ender 3 Pro, which I had heavily modified. I sold it to finance the purchase of the Sidewinder X1. Although the Sidewinder X1 has a larger print bed, I always felt that the Ender 3 Pro produced more detailed prints. At the time, I wanted a bigger print bed to print helmets for cosplay."

Because the date of launch is too near that is very similar to Xiaomi/Realme branded Smartphones in releasing newer models. I absolutely loving X3 Pro and hoping to buy it and mod it with Klipper with raspberry pi someday because i already have it.
I don't think it will kill the X3 series. They are going to be complimentary of each other, meant for different budgets. I can't wait for the X4s to arrive so I can get some content created.

Hi from Spain, could you share the prusa slicer profile? I am having some problems with my X3 Pro. Also Artillery sends a version of Cura for PC and I am on Mac ;-( Thanks in advance!
Well, had a lot of issues. Bad x axis ribbon cable end, and miss-installed reset button causing constant resets and freezing. Other than that, it's been great. Had to sort those out myself. It's a great marlin 2 machine that has 4040 extrusions sides and back, but just a plastic plate in the front. Which is fine because of the box construction, but the end plate is fussy if that button isn't right. I think mine was a christmas rush printer.
Really good customer service though. Not fast, but good. They admit to being overloaded (as are others, I bought 2 sovol printers a few weeks before this one had issues with one of those) but I found after sales service to be super. I got mine for $199 but missed the coupon so it didn't apply, they applied it after the fact for me, and in dealing with the reset/freezing issue, have been great.
@@LoyalMoses No worries then!! I didn't realize it was a default print! That's pretty awesome of them. Creality sends a cat 😄. Thanks again for the great content and appreciate the response! Have a good one broski!
Good printers are spoiled with $1 filament sensors. Also, how does that filament sensor work, when printing at or near maximum height? Even if print head does not hit it, filament needs to make enormous bends. My favourite filament sensor is printed, with skate bearing and limit switch with roll arm. There is no space for the filament to escape or bend away from the switch like what happens with these cheap ones. PTFE tube with cut on one side for the roll arm also works, though it is more fiddly. Used that mechanism with Orbiter 2 for a while (bearing is heavy) ;)
Having never used the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro, I can't really say. I do have a Neptune 3 Max and it is just an amazing machine. We printed some HUGE helmets on it, like REALLY HUGE -- comically oversized! Motion system is excellent, interface is great, it is a really nice machine.

I do not know how well it can integrate with octoprint. I would imagine soon though that octoprint will become obsolete, as many of its features are simply being included in 3d printers stock now.
The only think they had to change on the X2 was the bed rail, replace these crappy plastic rollers by a proper bal bearing rails combo. Adding speed where guideways are already not precise enought to max out the X2 possible speed is completely useless.
