    Thanks for the review. I've seen other channels had much more positive experiences, but it's always good to get multiple perspectives. New printers costing over $200 can't make excuses for bad out of the box experiences anymore.

    I think you and I had significantly different experiences, which is entirely ok. Not going to lie, I do not remember exact quality details of my prints, but I wasn't not upset by it. I think the fact that it's a bed slinger that actually looks good is a positive. The new version of marlin with input shaping/resonance comp and the ability to calibrate them, if you know how, is incredibly valuable. The poop shute is great in my opinion. I've have MANY times where a purge line doesn't work, though I will say that in my testing the start gcode of the poop chute didn't work either, but that's because it retracted the filament prior, so nothing to purge, BUT it did however wipe against the nozzle cleaner perfectly every single time and did clean bits off the nozzle in multiple cases.
    I guess this all just goes to show you it's very important to have different opinions and follow different creators because that's the only way to develop an opinion for yourself. I had a good experience, you had a bad one, so a viewer can take both of those experiences and pick apart what is important to them!! :)

      Absolutely! I think I’m also biased because I wouldn’t be a customer for this class of machine normally. That being said, when I first got my X1 a few years back I thought it was great. I had 3 of them at the peak. I just would have liked to have seen more innovation in the years in between. The X4 looks promising, but the X3 just isn’t doing it for me. Although, as I pointed out towards the end of the video, I’d you’re in the market for a cheap printer, this beats the similarly priced Ender 3 V3 SE in ever category.

    That Artillery X3 is just a Mingda Magician X2 painted in gray

    • @ygk3d
      @ygk3d  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      At some point, all bed slingers will look the same. The only ones truly innovating in this category are Bambu Lab, that I’m aware of.

      @@ygk3d i would like to see the performance of the standard sized A1 that comes next week vs the Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro, the only bedslinger i know it can match against a P1P.
      My biggest complain on Artillery is that they came late to the party, Creality is being genius with the relatively low prices of the Ender 3 V3's (on developing countries like, México, is very neccesary, because Bambu Lab on México costs three times the original price), i wonder if the next Ender 5 would be a budget K1.

      @@omegadeepblue1407 Artillery had the upper hand back in 2020 but they waited too long to innovate.
      You make a great point about developing countries. The market for 3D printers varies dramatically from country to country.

      @ThePrintHouse ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I actually love my mingda x2, but I do not think they're different. Artillery has some additional features here both hardware and firmware that make this a way better option, in my personal opinion.

      It maybe, but when all machines begin to look like each other it is time to really invest the time to look with scrutiny beyond the sugar coating.

    I have the X1 which was a nice printer to begin and to learn 3D printing. I have done a lot of technical pieces with it, of course with some maintenance of the hotend. The main drawback for me : It lacks some Gcode knowledge like the Pause to insert some nuts during printing. Now I wonder if I will go to Bambu Lab X1C with the AMS..
    Last detail my X1 already has a RGB LED and not a white one...

    • @ygk3d
      @ygk3d  ปีที่แล้ว

      The X1 was really good for its time. I think they were the Bambu lab equivalent of 2020. Unfortunately they haven’t innovated much between then and now.

    Cool! I just got a new Ender 5 S1 for $250, to replace my Ender 3 clone by Elegoo which I started a game of whack-a-mole with, which I am going to turn into a PET bottle filament maker. You said that you are bored of all the Ender 3's, so could you try to make a PET bottle to filament maker?

    I'm glad to hear that Artillery is stepping up their game with their X4 printer. But after my very positive experiences with my Qidi X-Max 3 and X-Smart 3, I do not believe that I will ever buy another open-framed non-enclosed printer again, even if it has Klipper.

    I think this printer is already obsolete compared to other printers on the market.
    I think there are so many Ender 3 variations due to the high volume of initial sales of these printers and when the sales start tailing off they just pump out another version, the development costs must be lower than the loss of sales as a printer tails off

    • @ygk3d
      @ygk3d  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Creality business model is perplexing. I wonder if anyone at the company even knows the names of half of the printers in their lineup 😂

    • @MarioIArguello

      @@ygk3d what you siad is similar in nature to the micro helicopter business when it was at the pinnacle of the RC micro heli revolution so many micro helicopters came out that at some point it was hard to keep track of all.
      Because of my early intro ( porior to the boom of the micro heli revolution) of some of my own early Micro, Sub -Micro and Palm-Size helis to the market, I actually ended up revamping many of my original heli parts as upgrades for other subsequent companies micro helis.
      Bottom line is that all of these products did the same thing, with minor variation in architecture and performance. Same with the Creality line, but that is how these companies make their profits.
      I am of the opinion that solid companies should make solid products, by this I mean a product that is designed for longevity, but sadly in today's world this is not a good thing for a company that cares more about profits than providing a solid product to their customer. Anycubic I3 Megas was on the right path but the machine was perhaps too good and they were not making as much money as Creatily with all the versions. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and KISS does not seem to fit in a world which relies on excess waste and greed.

      No but im sub to your channel because of this reveiw. Why its honest. I won a printing competition that artilley put on and won the x3 plus, i was excited. Unfortunately it has electrical issues, gantry is tweaked, bed plate is so warped it is impossible to level. Reached out to Artillery and they are telling me ita user error. I dont know how a beat up machine with heat exchager wire not attached is user error, more like a huge QC problem. Terrible, feel bad for anyone who purchased an Artillery product, hope the company goes under with their bussiness ethics @ygk3d

    Not the print speed of Corse.
    And the layer height.
    Bud everything else.
    Yes.
    And here we make bal BEARINGS on 65 euro Printer.
    Just for fun .
    Thats bin written.
    Why do you want to go faster you need speed p.l.a.
    Pet.g. you always print slower.
    And t.p.u. also.
    Why just not put 10 printers creality se .
