This song is really good, and it is rather intense. As far as intensity, I think One-Winged Angel has it beat. The most intense of Final Fantasy boss music is Jecht's Theme from Final Fantasy X. This, One-Winged Angel, and Caius's Theme are the best.
+Roberto Rivera Man there should've been this fucking magic sword spell, Voldemort and Harry dueling with magic swords would be amazing with this music.
What you see when Harry and Voldemort duel for the last time is witnessing a villain get destroyed by a power he neither respected nor understood, which is fitting for him given his arrogance
@Jake Small There are a NUMBER of enemies in the game that can be considered "superbosses", Attacus being one of them. But the 2 "official" superbosses in FF13 are Long Gui and Vercingetorix, according to the Wiki. Long Gui has 16.2 million HP - the highest in the game - and has a number of attacks that hit like a big rig, Ultima being among the worst, especially combined with its Roar attack. Use Summons to drop Long Gui on the ground easily, then debuff and spam Death if possible. That I believe is the easiest way to beat him. Olizandri has a great video on fighting this guy as well as Vercingetorix. Speaking of Vercingetorix, he's just as hard (if not harder). He has 15,840,000 HP (second only to Long Gui) and is the last mark (#64) in the Cie'th Stone Missions. Not only can he hit like a truck, he's VERY fast and becomes completely immune to damage at times. On top of all that, he can heal himself, debuff your party, and also deliver an AoE capable of inflicting around 20,000 damage to the whole party. Don't even THINK of fighting this guy without the Tortoise Paradigm (3 Sentinels).
LicoriceLain Same here. My computer kinda sucks for hardcore gaming, though, so I'm gonna wait until I have a better one before attacking FF13 again. When I do, though, I'm gonna do the whole trilogy and see which game I like best. I hear Lightning Returns (the last game) has the best port on Steam out of all the FF13 trilogy games.
cameraREDeye I am a console peasant and picked it back up again today. Hoo boy, it is going to be rough. I only have 2 traps and I still need to upgrade a few items. Have you playe Type-0? How does it stack up?

I wondering why at some points why it sounded like the HxH and Death Note ost, but the composer for both anime arranged these tracks and probably a few more.
One of the few things the XIII trilogy did better than any other Final Fantasy was truly make you feel like you were fighting a god during the final bosses.
We got a Demon God (I), Emperor of Hell (II), Primordial Darkness (III), Incarnation of Hatred (IV), Corrupted Tree Sentinel (V), Chaotic God (VI), Fallen Seraph (VII), Time Discord (VIII), Death Incarnate (IX), Parasite (X), Dark Lord (XI) and then Grotesque God Emperor (XII) as final boss long before XIII.
@@hartantoanggoro I didn’t say XIII was the first Final Fantasy to have a godlike being as the final boss. I said it did the best job of making you FEEL like you were fighting an actual deity, particularly through the music. And for the record, none of the bosses you listed are actually identified in-game as gods aside from Kefka. They’re all just super powerful entities or people trying to BECOME a god.
vanille, fang, and lightning did good for me. good is an amazing healer and a amazing character. but he has the lowest health in the group so he's extremely vulnerable in this fight. if you cast poison on orphan it helps quite a bit.

Nascent Requiem feels more like a final Disney boss theme. Like if you were to enter Disneyland as though it was a World of Warcraft style 5-man dungeon or 40-man raid; I'd imagine the final boss at the end of Disneyland would have a theme EXTREMELY similar to what Nascent Requiem sounds like. A tad bit too comical, a great influence by 19th century Impressionism and similar genres of Classical music, but still a serious enough composition that emphasizes that the fate of the world is at stake. Wonderful piece, very well designed
