Experts say you should listen to 10 songs each day, that will help against depression and such. Any song you like. But stear away from songs that are meant to be depressive ofc :P
@@TannuWannu It's terrible. (Except for the graphics, they're pretty nice for the PS3, and the OST too, but that goes without saying because a good soundtrack is standard with Final Fantasy, no matter how bad the game itself is)
Many people uploaded this song, but I wanted to watch this clip in particular because there's an actual image I can look at. I just love the scenery. It's so beautiful.
Steeeeep into the rainbow, fiiiiind another view Chase the tender liiiiiight, borders let's cross oooooveeer Reeeeeeady to defiiiine the miiiiiiists inside your heeeeaaaaart? Take a breath and start your liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife *continue*
step into the rainbow... find another view.... chase the tender light... borders let's cross over... ready to define the mists inside your heart..... take a breath and start your life..... waves of a new day..... clear all the gloom away.... hope is what we simply need to proceed..... waves of a new day...... clear all the gloom away.... hope is what we simply need to proceed.....
Normally I don't like to read the lyrics to a song, but this one is just so god dang beautiful that I just had to know what was actually being said :´-)
Yeah she's one of my least appreciated Characters of all time Not even in the Limits of the FF franchise She's just an all around bad character in my opinion
She isn't energetic and happy though. She is profoundly sad and consumed by guilt. She is also lonely, being not just a fugitive from a world at war with Cocoon but also one of only two people left from the ruin of her civilisation. She only reveals this privately to the player, through narration. Yep, she is also the narrator of the story. She tries to fix other people's problems but finds that in doing so, she only causes more problems. In encouraging Hope to be honest about his feelings towards Snow, she does not realize Hope isn't out for reconciliation. He is out for blood. She tries to help Sazh deal with the loss of his son but ultimately, she finds she is the reason why he lost his son. She is a person who is trying to do something good in the world but doubts if she ever can. Everything she touches falls apart and turns to ashes because of who she is. She already tried to run away and do nothing, thinking that by not getting involved, nobody would get hurt, but it only took 13 days for it all to catch up to her. Outwardly she tries to be upbeat and happy-go-lucky but this is a mask - one that slips on several occasions such as outside Nautilus when she tries to tell Sazh the truth of what happened to Dajh but is unable to. She runs into the pouring rain so nobody will see her tears. Vanille is easily one of the best characters in any Final Fantasy game, period.
I play this every morning with my first cup of coffee, watching the sunrise. It lifts me up to new horizons, every day begins anew, I take a breath and start my life!
Weirdly enough, I feel the Japanese/International version of the song is clearer and easier to understand than the English version XD The wording is...obviously not the best English (not a big deal anyway, I kinda like the awkward English) but the voice is stronger and seems to stand out from the music better.
It's not necessarily terrible English, just with some anastrophe in it. Honestly, I think it works better for the song; it keeps these absolutely ethereal lyrics while still providing the stress on the best words. Generally, this version is pretty agreeably better. Thank goodness they used this one in Theatrhythm, where I heard it first.
Yes, I agree. I tend to like the Japanese version much better....sometimes it feels like the English version tries to make the words fit too well, and the song loses something.
And by the way, thanks for using that word, "anastrophe". Totally expanding my vocabulary here XD. I didn't really mean "awkward" English, but the choice of words as well as order of them is just slightly different than what you typically hear in English language songs. Why do you think they felt the need to change the lyrics for the English version? They both say pretty much the same thing, though the English version is more direct, and less ethereal, as you said.
XIII-2 goes further into her story. I actually felt sorry for Vanille. She tried her best and was upset with the outcome. I could forgive her. It's actually the l'cie who are to blame for causing the situation in the first place.
Sorry to be that guy, but I think you meant to say, that it was the Fal'cie, you know the ones who makes people into I'cie, who are to be blamed for the whole problem.
+Thalles Guimarães This song was in a spin off Final Fantasy game called Theatrhythm Final Fantasy for 3DS. It's a basic rhythm game and critical's are basically perfecting the song.
Thank you so much for uploading this! Absolutely beautiful music, and. honestly, I find it a lot more beautiful than the overseas version. ...Is it okay if, one day, I use this video to make a ten hour version or something? :D
This is up here with the Balamb Garden theme, and the menu theme for XV for me. Even though this game didn't tick all the boxes for me because I'd outgrown the monologue way of storytelling that FFs had before XV, it was a fun play and a vibrant world, and I think of this track often. There's literally no different between this and the ENG though.
Just because the lyrics are spoken in english doesn't mean it's not a japanese version of a song. Several japanese artists sing, part, if not all of their songs in english, even in versions only airing within Japan.
just like i said, i did check the lyrics and it's definitely the japanese version. it doesn't matter if it's in english or not, the lyrics are spoken differently from the international version. why not try researching it first before you say it's not? ive done my part of my share. besides try comparing the lyrics spoken first not the language itself.

Honestly, same.
Its been ages, and yet i still hear them
Final Fantasy XIII did one thing very right: it had this song.

XIII's music was fantastic in general.
the game is an irreplaceable memory of my youth. playing it over the age of twelve however.. highly unadvised.
