    Nice job dude. I did my timing job at 179k due to the infamous tick. Went melling 340hv as well. And did the roller followers, lash adjusters, all other ford parts. Went with 2v steel tensioners. Been running like a champ ever since. I’m at like 200k now.

      No issues with the 2V tensioners? I was unaware they worked for the 3vs as well

    Good job Jay- I have the Bilstein leveling kit up front and Bilstein shocks on the rear. I have Moog upper and lower ball joints on both sides- no problems

    I would buy these arms if the ball joint crossed to a Moog part number.

    Jay, first I just want to say I love your truck. I have an 08 FX2, it’s black. A lot of the mods or upgrades I have done are based off of your truck. Today I just installed the same upper control arms. So far they’re awesome except for one thing. I drove it around the block and I’m pretty sure the tire rubbed the right side (passenger) while making a right turn. I have a 2.5 level and 33’s on stock 20 inch wheels. I know your truck has wheel spacers but does your brothers? If not do you know if he has a rubbing issue? I’m guessing now I need wheel spacers. I was trying to avoid getting them. I like the look of them just worry about dependability.

    It should help alot, when you lift trucks their always issues with other components being effected, but hey being stock like everybody else gets boring, lol!!!

      It doesn't really add any lift, it mainly helps with axel angles giving you a better ride and making sure you won't have problems down the road

    If you end up doing a timing job use all Ford components from the dealer. They are much more expensive but I had a Cloyes phaser spin on me 10 miles into a test drive. Something about the 5.4 and aftermarket parts don’t seem to play well with each other for some reason

    Thanks for the informative video, I am a new subscriber, and look forward to Future progress on your F-150. How do you like your two and a half inch spacers, I will be installing my two and a half inch supreme suspension spacers, over the holiday weekend, how is your ride quality, is it much different than stock? I have a 2016 f150 4x4,
    I will be upgrading to a Fox coilover setup sometime next year, but for now just so I can clear the big meats I just bought, I'm going with a 2.5 inch spacer, I hope all will be well because I love my truck!

    Just installed these and a 2.5 level up front. Noticed some squealing of the tires afterwards. Did you have to do an alignment after doing this? Thinking my lower arms are a little in.

    • @JayThompson25
      @JayThompson25  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      3inch level is almost too much on these trucks, but these control arms will help with the angle, but still probably have some premature wear on the ball joint. 2.5 inch level is about max you can go. It’ll tear Axel boots from the steep angle as well
