This movie was so much more than just a battle, it was about teamwork, family, brotherhood, helping one another. This was Zack Snyder's masterpiece and shared the 300 and Frank Miller's interpretation gloriously. Ow-Ow-Ow!

@@danbryanaquino4588 This movie was received negatively when it was released. Maybe because a lot of people judged before watching and not realizing that this was based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller instead of the actual history. When I first watched it in 2007, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's like an artwork came to life.
The part near the end where Leonidas addresses Ephialtes and tells him "you there, may you live forever", after which Ephialtes can no longer look him in the eye (plus the range of expression and emotions he shows in those few seconds) is a very underrated moment in this movie for me.
That's why in greek his name translated as a nightmare. It was a prophetic statement, his name Ephialtes comes to this day the same meaning bad dream or nightmare. The movie has many true statements.

Wish they had shown the entirety of Leonides' break from the formation. That shield bash is by far my favorite moment in the movie, probably top of my list for moments in any movie, honestly
As a proud Greek, and knowing about Leonidas and his 300 Spartans when I was a kid from my grandparents and my parents. This movie made me so proud of my heritage and I already was, liberties were taken in the movie but the history of what happened is real at Thermopylae! I could watch this movie 10 times and still cry because of how deep I feel about my heritage
Yeah like it took liberties historically but after I watched it I went back to look at the real story and a lot of it is the same. The movie just adds a bit more fantasy with xerxes actually being godly and the immortals actually seeming like demons
I hope this includes the moment when Leonidis is calmly eating an apple amongst all the dead and dying Persians, and his buddy is wandering around in the background, stabbing survivors. The King says, 'I mean, it's not we're not civilized...' And his buddy in the background pins a Persian begging for his life to the ground and says, 'Aye, sire.' like he's only half listening.
I had a close call flying my new "old" plane home, really high density altitude of a high airport and had a magneto failure on departure and the associated low rate of climb. In my opinion, 300 > 300 Rise of an Empire . The first part was some next level of Adrenaline. The main actor Gerard Butler (Leonidas) gave this movie an entire turnover
3:34 According to historians, the King was 60 years old when He led the boys of Sparta to fight Xerxes's army at the Hot Gates.....and there He put the name of Xerxes's elite imperial guardsmen (the Immortals) to the ultimate test.
