Good work...if you don't want to wait 45min and switch airbrushs try using pledge gloss as a bleed checker instead. You can heat set it and put on multiple layers in minutes. Give it a try if you don't want to deal with 4040 wait time and viscosity.
If I had some pledge gloss, I would give it a test it on some plastic spoons. I just try to stick to createx recommendations for the Candy 2.0 The bleed checker seems to dry as fast as the paint but, I still wait. I see model makers use clear pledge gloss / future, I haven't seen anyone use it for candy 2.0 thanks for suggesting and thanks for watching 😁👍
@@BlindSymmetryLurePainting yeah I don't blame ya. Yeah I was having issues with the 4040 over candy. So I tried the gloss pledge I had since it is a urethane based product. I had success with it so I figured I would tell you since you primarily paint with Candy. But yeah keep up the great work. Those candy lures are killer.
I either hang a white paper towel or prop a regular white lined note pad next to my lures while painting. You can test spray on them, then hold the air on but paint off, move to the lure, then start the paint. I had some lures that got goofed up due to small flecks of dried paint. Using this method eliminates that problem. You can also test the flow and adjust the pressure accordingly It used to bug me that TH-camrs wouldn’t give their air pressure. After painting I’ve found that even different colors from the same brand require different pressures, so the test spraying helps check flow and pattern This is one of my favorite channels. You explain things very well. Also, I have no idea how you keep your booth that clean. Thanks for your excellent content
