Bruh. Has he seen shippuden? I’m currently on the crocodile arc and motivation to watch the show is dwindling as it is the same fucking thing every arc. The show knows luffy is strong so it’s solution is to put luffy in a situation where he isn’t or can’t fight. So far every single arc I’ve seen has this exact same formula
Ryuk Rants ye it’s basically : Get in a boat, travel the sea, get on an island, get lost from the crew, get in a jail, escape from the jail with the help of crew, save the princess, defeat the villain, run away from marines and the whole thing repeats again and again
As one of those “it’s too long”ers, my friend got me into the series by telling me to at least get up through Baratie and Arlong Park. He was 100% right. I was ready to quit around the time Usopp and Captain Kuro came around, but making it through those two arcs hooked me for the long run.
@@LavenderSky499 Definitely recommend at least giving it until Arlong Park. If you haven’t gotten into it by then, it’s unlikely that anything afterward would really do it for you either. But that’s the first time you see some real depth that Oda’s able to give to his characters and story. It made a yuuuge difference in my perspective on the series.
@@LavenderSky499 same experience, going from orange town to syrup village was rough and then the episode with Gaimon was my tipping point. I’ve been wanting to try again cuz I heard the two arcs after are really good but have been contemplating just watching the recap movies, will probably try both
Yes It has, Ive read both the manga and watched the anime for this arc and I can say that the anime does a lot of scenes better than the manga. Its still suffering from pacing but the quality and feel to the story of Wano is better in the anime.
I dont think production was ever a problem. Pacing is not a production problem, its a direction decision issue. Instead of waiting for more chapters to come out (the new seasonal model) they try to keep up with weekly episodes for a manga that skips a week a month, hence forcing them to S T R E T C H out thier episodes like a motherfucker. Wano looks beautiful but the pacing is still dogshit.
i started one piece last year in summer cause my friend told me its the best anime ever so i started watching in august and i took me like 2 months to watch all because he didnt capped and its the best anime ive ever seen in my life. One piece has all, emotions, epic entrys and the best fights. START ONE PIECE NOW!! its never to late for an amazing story.
I absolutely loved the Dressrossa arc. It was my favorite arc in the new world saga but it was a very long arc for sure, however, that's the beauty of One Piece, you aren't supposed to watch the whole show in one sitting. Each arc I recommend taking a few weeks off to a month off break before you hop back in on it.
Where were you able to watch the episodes after Thriller Bark. I’ve only just started watching One Piece but I get through shows pretty quick and am also worried if I can’t find where to watch the later episodes. I’m currently watching it on Netflix btw.
Just watch one piece on one pace which cuts out the filler, the openings, the recap , the endings and it also cuts down the fights to fix the pacing issues pretty much reduces one piece from 900 eps to 450 eps and it sticks to just the manga canon. Highly recommend, that's what i used when i rewatched one piece with my friend.
Definitely recommend it!! I watched it there too and now I’m finally caught up and watch the weekly episodes! One piece is too good of a masterpiece to not watch it and that’s on facts
started it back in march now on episode 387,its brought me and my daughter closer together we watch 2 episodes every night before she goes to bed, what an amazing story full of passion still after so many chapters and im no where close to finishing.
Depending on her age, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is great to watch after, if you like Avatar the last airbender its similar in feel but darker and more qualitative
The show is great in general. The story is full of enjoyment and the character development is fulfilling. It's not some characters who got full power from birth, but training to become the greatest of what they want to be.

This is a great guide cause I actually thought the same thing. The early episodes of One Piece is really good and well paced but slowly when downhill. But for me the pacing already felt off during skypea, but during that era of time, the anime was quite inconsistent since water 7 is very well paced and so is impel down/marineford. But I do agree, Dressrossa was the all time low for the anime. With that said, I think Wano is pretty good though. The pacing is still a bit off, but the animation looks dope asf. Edit: 2023, Onigashima's pacing is quite abysmal. They pretty much adapted half aka around 0.5 of the chapters. Animation still dope though, but quite inconsistent in terms of quality .
I have been trying to get through Skypiea for the last few months. It is so long winded and, honestly, boring. I honestly found the Arabasta arc pretty boring too, though, and I know most fans consider that to be peak One Piece .. which worries me. I have heard about some of the emerging overarching events and they interest me but it feels like I am having to trudge through treacle to get there.
@@thebiglebrowski3695what?, You must be a new anime watcher, those arcs where peaks especially skypiea, and I loved it . maybe one piece ain't for you
@michealmelvin I mean I literally state that, so yeah ... I am. For those checking this vid out today, I assure you it's 100% worth it, and it only just gets better and better. Bruh. Has he seen shippuden? I’m currently on the crocodile arc and motivation to watch the show is dwindling as it is the same fucking thing every arc. As one of those “it’s too long”ers, my friend got me into the series by telling me to at least get up through Baratie and Arlong Park. He was 100% right. I was ready to quit around the time Usopp and Captain Kuro came around, but making it through those two arcs hooked me for the long run.
That's interesting because way back when I quit right around when Usopp joined. Now I'm finally trying to get back into the series again.

SET SAIL FOR ONE PIECE
The animes production was improved so much in wano

I am excited to start! Thank you once again for this video, worth the 10 minutes!
Animation still dope though, but quite inconsistent in terms of quality .
dressrosa one of the best arcs wym all time low, that shit was emotional and epic asf
